Once again, Earl Simmons, the fallen rap star known as DMX, has fallen prey to the long arm of the law. On Monday, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office in Arizona offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his capture after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest last Friday when he skipped a court appearance to face charges of drug possession, identity theft, and animal cruelty. Though DMX’s attorney reportedly claimed his client was a no-show in court because he was in rehab, the FBI found the troubled 37-year-old rapper hiding out at the Florida home of music producer Scott Storch on Tuesday afternoon. According to TMZ, a woman in Georgia revealed his whereabouts to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office after she heard about the reward money. The police then tipped off the Feds to his location at Storch’s Palm Island mansion, which was foreclosed on in July, and DMX was arrested without incident.
