What everyone needs to do is say “F**K the ‘Hall of fame.’” It has been my observation that the “recognition” is only for accomplishment in what is mainstream.

I don’t believe Rush to be “mainstream” in its purest sense when you consider that “mainstream” is a politically correct euphemism for “lowest common denominator.” Rush’s music is just too intelligent and too thought-provoking to qualify.

The recognition is only for music that makes you feel all good, but not actually feel AND think about things in our world.

And, you know what else, Rush doesn’t need the reward; they do what they do for themselves and their fans. They don’t need some stupid “recognition” from a bunch of pansies who couldn’t recognize serious effort if it sat on their laps and called them mama.
