My Chemical Romance’s lead singer has been broadcasting his desire to own a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am on Twitter and on the band’s website. Frontman Gerard Way says he needs the car for "research and exploration." Requirements? "First and foremost, I want a good car," Way wrote. "It doesn’t have to be great, itdoesn’t need to have been kept in an airtight garage for 30 years, butI would prefer something that’s not a piece of s—. I would like it tobe in California, close to or within the greater Los Angeles area. Iwould also like ‘the fast engine’ to show you how much I know aboutcars, though I have friends with vast automotive knowledge, and myfather was a mechanic when I was a child." He also lists the exterior colors he desires (in order of awesome), adding, "I am open to other things but I absolutely do not want Gold, Brown, orthat frigging Smokey and The Bandit car- that s— is whack."

I really love MCR and I really know that they’re the best band alive, but yea is true that before this whole Trans Am thing he wasn’t really replying his fans, so that’s kinda bad. Other members, like Bob, were replying and that’s pretty cool.
