John Mayer debuted a new track on his recent "Mayercraft" cruise called "Heartbreak Warfare," and it is now being widely reported (or at least suggested) that the song concerns his relationship with ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. Me? I’m not so sure. Having spent some time with the dude, it seems like a too-obvious move on his part, and it wouldn’t be the first time a Mayer song has been misinterpreted. There are still a lot of people who believe "Your Body Is A Wonderland" is about another ex-flame named Jennifer — Ms. Love Hewitt. (Note to self: trademark the phrase "Flame-ifer" as soon as possible). But that song was penned long before he started stepping out with the future Ghost Whisperer.
Anyway, take a listen to "Heartbreak Warfare" and tell us what you think.

Judging from from the outfit, I’d say it was written about Clay Aiken who, by the way, wants his short shorts back.
I doubt it’s about her specifically, he is too smart for that. I am sure the lyrics come from experience but I think the media is looking for stories. I bet he had fun, and is over it. He gets bored fast, said so himself.
Also, if anyone has ever read “The Art of Seduction” John Mayer will someday be included in a future revised addition..read it and you’ll know what I mean.

I “use” to enjoy listening to JM’s music, but, after hearing, on e! news, that he “made out with Perez H. So Gross ! Maybe that’s why Jen A. broke it off. Yuck !!!

I loved John when he first arrived on the scene. Loved his hair long. Loved the jeans and sneakers. Loved his humble approach. But now it seems he’s gone Hollywood. I mean, really. What’s up with the sailor suit Dude? That’s just wrong on so many levels.

John is simply mocking the fabricated women that the media create. He looks very sexy and makes you look at his specifics. Much like we do everyday to female media stars. His writing and performing talent combines all the intelligent aspects of genuine artists. His performance during the song is lacking the visuals. I’d pay to see his next live concert, preferably on a private island, one on one. Lucky Jennifer. Lucky John.

John Mayer is a mega-talented musician. Jennifer Aniston is a mediocre at best actor…known for the most part for her hair and having been married to Brad Pitt. She will be nothing but a foot-note in John Mayer’s life and successful career. I would not be surprised if her failed relationship with John Mayer is milked as much as possible..if her failed marriage to Brad Pitt is any indication. As for the silly comments about what he is wearing in the photo…who cares what he wears…his musical talent is undeniable.
This can’t compare to his earlier memorable works which had catchy phrasing and very nice melodies. This is a forgetable tune that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything. I guess in this way it has something to do with the “johnifer” thing.
John Mayer is a user. He tried to use Jennifer Aniston’s good name to boost his own career. Obviously, that failed so, he moved on. Mayer is a nobody and always will be no matter who he tricks into dating him. He attempted to walk the streets of New York, while singing, to see if he was recognized. Noone knew who he was!! lol I didn’t listen to his ‘music’ and I never will.
Of course its about Jennifer Aniston. Who else has been talking incessantly about her ex?

I am disgusted that Keith Urban, a true guitar God, even sharead a stage with John whatever at the Grammy’s. Jen baby, you are so much better off. You’d be better off with a large stuffed goofy bear beside you. Then again, what’s the difference?
They are just not a good match. Publicly splitting, on again off again, it would destroy any relationship. Also hard to date a musician. Jen should find someone else.

ok even if you dont like his lyrics no one can deny that john is an amazing guitarist. and as for the whole jen aniston thing, relationships end escpecially celebrity ones get over it. he has clearly moved on to another amazing album that will top any of jen’s movies. so whether or not you like his music he has proven that he isn’t a one hit wonder and he has staying power and a huge fan base so that he deserves credit for.
