EW has learned that country star Tim McGraw will not be appearing at tonight’s Academy of Country Music Awards as planned. McGraw has not issued a statement, but his publicist confirms that due to a "major disagreement" with the show’s producers McGraw’s management has pulled him from the show. A rep for the ACMs declined to comment, saying only that they look forward to working with him on tomorrow’s George Strait tribute, at which McGraw is still scheduled to perform. Last night two sources who witnessed the incident told EW that McGraw walked out of yesterday’s ACMs rehearsal, possibly over a dispute about his production design.

That’s unfortunate, because I was expecting to see Tim McGraw perform, let alone hearing him do a new song from his upcoming album. Why the ACM producers didn’t like his set or production design is beyond me. Every performance doesn’t always have to look the same!

Dropping out of shows must run in the family, because Faith also failed to perform at a show at Oklahoma State University a few years back. All the students there (whose tickets were NOT refunded) were very disappointed. Tim also spoke out publicly against one of his own albums that he released last year, saying that his production company messed up the format. Hope they still have fans left when they are both done being divas.

Country Music lost its way anyway. The only guys left who know REAL county music is George Straight and Alan Jackson.
Gosh, you folks don’t care much for Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, or country music for that matter. Neither do I. But, I love Carrie Underwood. She’s a class act. Finished college AFTER she won Idol. She quickly became the reining Queen of “modern” country dominating both the country AND the pop charts. Crossover success has generally created backlash in the “country community” but not so in Carrie’s case.
Through it all, she seems to have remembered her roots. She is truly a role model because she has genuine class, she is not full of herself, and apparently she even has morals!
She quickly attempted to help Faith Hill save face a few years back over the “WHAT?” remark on Carrie’s win. Come on guys,does anyone really believe Faith Hill was not jealous?

Tim McGraw was always too girly for me. He does have a diva attitude.
Despite all the downing of this performer, it is disappointing to see that he will be missing from one of the most “great” nights of country. But there is always next year’s show…

Yes, Faith Hill is a diva. She refused to stay at a top hotel here in NY because it wasn’t up to her standards. Sorry miss mississippi girl. This is just one example of her being fake and yes a diva.
Based on most of the comments here, it just shows again how closed minded and ignorant and cruel the majority of country music listeners are…stop acting like your opinions are fact and don’t get all bent out of shape just when someone doesn’t act just like you want them to…thank goodness, not all people are like this!!!!
The day George Strait loses ‘Album of the Year’ to the likes of a teeny bopper like Taylor Swift is the end for true fans of country music.
Strait pulls off the CMA Album of the year and hell even the grammy, but can’t win the ACM….laughable and a disgrace to the country music industry.

I saw them both tour and I didn’t like either one of them, why do the stars need big set on a tv show is beyond me the need to be more like George Strait and Alan Jackson just stand there and Sing I’m not going to pay 100.00 for a ticket to a show and not beable to see the singer over the lights.
I like Brad Paisley and would add him to your list with Alan Jackson adn George Strait. He’s a great guitarist and I like how he continues to stay true to himself and his roots bu including a hymn in each of his albums. Even with songs like Ticks and Online, he still can stay classic country- and earned his Opry membership by his 40+ appearanes. Waitin’ On A Woman ws a great song and video, but I don’t see him winning either category. Entertainer fo the year— I think he wins that one.
If you don’t like the people, the music, the attitudes the anything…why are you watching? Go click on reruns of Cobain, Joplin or Elvis….who cares? Just stay out of the the Country business with all your unfounded rumors and turn to MTV.
