i’ll tell you what his problem is. he’s a little old man who wants to be cool and be part of the cool crowd and pretend to be a singer. In reality is, his having a mid life crisis and acted like a fool. he obviously doesn’t have any talent and just a sad little old man.

I viewed the Q TV band interview with Billy Bob Thorton and his band. It is quite obvious after watching and listening, that there was an agreement ahead of time as to the subject matter to be discussed. Billy Bob is obviously pissed off due to the breach of this agreement; mashed potatoes and gravy aside.
I use to live and work in the USA. If you have ever experienced the USA, it is really like mashed potatoes with a lot of gravy. The excitement at events as big as a Billy Bob concert to as small as the local town football team is infectious to say the least. Americans know how to have a good time. As a Canadian with an American bloodline I would have to agree with Billy Bob Thorton. We Canadians need more gravy.

Billy Bob was just pissed because the interviewer didnt introduce him as the next best thing to sliced bread. Hillbilly meet British invasion? more like CRYBILLY.
What a spoiled, elitist DICK! Does Johnny Depp act like that when being interviewed about HIS music? Or any other actor for that matter?
What planet does he live on to think that nobody is going to ask or mention the career that got him famous in the first place?
People don’t ask Tom Petty questions like that because he has been in the music business for freaking DECADES. Billy has been playing for, what, 2 years?
And even if the disc jockey wasn’t “supposed” to talk about that stuff, he’s an actor for heavens sake! ACT like you have some sense, get some balls , get your head out of your own butt and steer the conversation to what you DO want to talk about.
I thought that when I watched this, I would feel some sympathy for Billy. That maybe it was being spun in an overexaggerated way, like the media often does.
But that interview did nothing but embarassed the hell out of his bandmates and make Billy look like the dickhead he really is.
I thought BBT was there to talk about the Boxmasters, not his acting career. What was Jian Ghomeshi thinking???

lisa, did you read the article above, or see/hear the interview. BBT ‘other’ job was only brought up for “context” in the intro. As Jian said to BBT, wouldn’t be strange if I DIDNT mention your acting accomplishments? Interviewer did not ASK questions about acting directing movies etc, only used it for setting. As for the cancelled shows, it’s probably a good thing. BBT said that Americans throw stuff at eachother in their concerts; I have a feeling that saome potatoes and gravy would have been heaved if there were more shows.
Well here is another example of a ignorant American of the USA not knowing a thing about Canada.

Billy Bob acts like he’s stoned! How can he not understand the simpled question of “When did the band form?” Seems like a no-brainer question to me. But considering this man has been married and divorced 5 times, I wouldn’t expect him to be anything but a jerk. He acts like he’s too arrogant to speak.
