Hilarious! Why can’t anyone see they’re lampooning pop culture and how starlets get and stay in the tabloids as much as Miley herself? Every “be like X” joke is a zing at those other stars, too, in the same spirit as Lily Allen singing “I will take off my clothes and it will be shameless/Cuz everyone knows that’s how you get famous.”

Any “child” who is mature enough to be a multi-millionaire TV/movie/recording star doing racy pictures for magazines and on her own cell phone AND who makes fun of Asians AND dates a 20y is totally mature and public enough to be made fun of like this. It’s like the complainers have never watched “Robot Chicken.”
I don’t know anything about Ms. Cyrus’s racial slurring nor do I watch,listen to or care anything about her. As far as Mr. Foxx’s remarks,I say she is fair game.She chose to be in the public eye and should be able to receive good as well as bad comments about her.Her parents have become rich by turning her into a commodity(not to mention resurrecting Billy Ray’s pathetic excuse for a career).I agree with all the posters comments regarding how inappropriate a “legal minor”dating a person over 18 is.When I was a kid this type of behavior (racism,border line magazine cover nudity,dating older men etc.)from a “Disney owned” performer would get them canned,but,I feel that is Billy Ray’s intention.To whore out his daughter to get out of her contract so then she can do more adult themed entertainment.Unfortunetly,I guess the world we live in today doesn’t care about common morality or true family values.As for Ms. Cyrus’s future,there is none.Her brand of pubecscent very music is short lived.
There’s no defending the fact that he’s a 41 year old man and she’s a 16 year old girl. He should know better.

I think he went too far. She is a child trying to be in a grown up world. Or maybe from the looks of his comments shes closer to being an adult than him. I personally will not be going to see his movie and if I do see it as a rental it will be from the Redbox dollar rental.”

It’s all about context. If it was Howard Stern bad-mouthing Cyrus in this way, people wouldn’t bat an eye. But from an Academy award winner like Foxx, we expect a little more of him.
You know he is just having some fun at her expense, and why is everyone bashing him for talking about a 16 year old girl? He didn’t say anything that I haven’t heard on local radio stations other than dirtier. A lot of these young stars thing they are the universe and let their ego get to them. I remember when Lil Bow Wow talked about Will Smith, and Will basically saying um you still aren’t anything special. Jamie is just having a good time and speaking his mind. I like how everyone makes it seem like a tirade when it clearly is not. Listen to morning radio you hear the same type of comments made all the time. Calm down people. Besides it does seem that Miley is covered in gold and anything she does is just blown off. While I can respect her achievements at some point she needs to fall on her ass so she can come back to reality. It is just a matter of time before everything turns on her as it has done for so many others in her position. We place them on a pedestal to seem them fall.

Pretty much he is saying that Miley needs to come back to Earth. The day you can make threats that you are going to ruin a band that clearly doesn’t sell themselves out the way Miley did you deserve to be picked on. Foxx didn’t say anything inappropriate and he could have gone farther easily. Miley grow up, not everyone likes or has to like you.
AJ! you are exactly right for calling her a child and the reality is she isn’t mature enough…she is a 16 year old and all the money and fame in the world doesn’t change that. Kids behave like kids, this is how they learn social norms. Yes she supposedly made fun of Asians and she made a childish remark of ruining a band…this is exactly what I would expect coming from a normal kid followed by proper admonishmant as to why those actions were wrong.
You can’t throw a young child into this mess we call celebrity and honestly expect them to handle it well and you certainly can’t treat them as adults.

I think it’s really sad that anybody thinks, “Make a sex tape” is an appropriate thing to say to any 16 year old. Some people are far too accepting of dangerous behavior and role models ought to be more careful when they speak. Foxx ought to go ask Bill Cosby for advice before he opens his mouth again!
Man, Jamie Foxx is one of the best performer or entertainer’s I know, plus I’m dying to see his new film that has a chance to be as good as Ray. However, I am a crazy dude myself and will call out ignorance in a humorous way to help the next person out. What I do not do is… get into debates with high schoolers, try to disrespect a 16yr old, or expect a child to act in the same capacity as an adult. I think its kinda silly Jamie ripped into Miley Cyrus. I didnt say much when they ripped Soulja Boy, but these people are young stars. We should be guiding them, especially when they don’t look to conceited to refuse help. Maybe there is something more into this story, from behind the scenes, like connections in movie industry, she’s now competition, or jamie is bored, lol. He is a funny mother*&$@, but keep some boundaries when criticizing kids in an adult manner. Miley is still young and more nextstorish than most popular stars, just give her a call, she prolly can make u a mil.
