Almost six years after his impossibly popular band Creed broke up, lead singer Scott Stapp has decided it’s time to reunite the old gang, according to a story on People.com. In case you’ve blissfully forgotten about Creed (tell us your secret!), they were the late ’90’s Christian-rock crossover superstars whose songs like "Higher," "With Arms Wide Open," and "What’s This Life For?" ruled the radio — and haunted our nightmares. But by 2003, the band had a major fall from grace (Stapp’s antics at a show in Chicago actually had fans suing for a refund, although the suit was eventually thrown out by a judge) and disbanded. Remaining Creed members have since moved on to groups like Alter Bridge, but the freshly reunited Creed will now release a new album called Full Circle and will tour the U.S. late this summer. While ‘90’s band reunion tours are nothing new these days, it seems like No Doubt and Blink-182 still have some pretty ardent admirers. Am I being naive in thinking Creed might have lost a lot of good will once their fans starting suing them? What do you think, Music Mixers? Does the Creed reunion make you scratch your head (and cover your ears), too? Or did you go to the top of a mountain to sing your joy?

I think it is kind of stupid to think that hating Creed is cool. You know you loved those songs. Sure, Scott Stapp could be a tool, but who cares, really? They had great songs, and you know you would still listen to them if they came on the radio in the car…unless of course someone was in the car with you. Love Alter Bridge too, so do my teenagers.
Creed was simply a victim of overplay on the radio – each song was on for too long and too often that I grew fatigued of the music. Maybe if they take things in a new direction I’ll be able to get back into them. I still can’t listen to their music to this day.
No, hating Creed actually is cool.
I’m not a Creed fan but apparently the only way to receive praise from the EW staff is to be some horrible indy band that no one has heard of.

You get paid for this?
They broke up?
Overplayed? Yes! But are they as bad as people tend to say they are? I don’t think so.
My favourite song from them is “My Sacrifice”

Hey, any band who sells over 30 million albums in 5 years is due to suffer from over-exposure! I look forward to the new Creed album.
And the second horseman of the apocalypse comes charging out of the gates. (The first being the Limp Bizkit reunion).
Creed and Limp Bizkit reuniting!! Two bands, but four times the suckage!
The problem with Creed is actually not what some of you are saying. It’s not that their songs were overplayed. It’s simply that their songs suck. And on top of that, Scott Stapp’s voice sucks too. It sounds like he sings through his nose or something. It’s very obnoxious. Creed is one of the worst bands of all time.
No matter how hard you bash them, these guys sold close to 30 million records and dominated radio charts. Awesome, catchy rock music.
hating creed is like breathing air. theres no way around it, its not a cool or uncool thing to do.
Set aside all the backlash against Scott Stapp. You gotta admit that the first time you heard “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open,” you thought they were beautiful songs.
Alter Bridge is a pretty decent band, Kennedy is one of the few singers that can actually sing not scream or sound like someone is pulling their tonsils out through the nose,
