New 'round the world viral video from 'Playing for Change' -- this time, with 100% more Bob Marley!

Categories: Bob Marley, Covers

No doubt, you received the feel-good forward in your inbox sometime in the past year — the so-called "Song Around the World" cover of the Ben E. King classic "Stand By Me." The brainchild of producer Mark Johnson, who traveled the globe collecting clips from musicians from all over (New Orleans, Moscow, Zimbabwe, Tibet), and then distilled them all into a single video, the clip has since garnered nearly 10 million views on YouTube.

Now, to coincide with the April 28 release of the related Playing For Change — Peace Through Music CD/DVD (via Hear Music), there are four new videos on the site, including Bob Marley’s lay-down-your-arms reggae classic "War/No More Trouble," below, which once again highlights musicians from a smorgasbord of nations, including Congo, Israel, India, South Africa, and Ghana.

See if you can spot a wee Irish fellow named Bono, starting at around 1:38, and one other (posthumous) cameo, and tell us, Music Mixers, are you feeling irie for the cause?
