She seemed like a little girl trying to show everyone how grown up she is – which means, of course, that she’s not. Major pitch problems as well, really off-key. Painful to watch and listen to.”
I agree ^. I don’t think she’s “there” yet and has a long way to go. That’s why she’s the “opening” act at concerts and not the star. Got a long way to go.
I just listened to the single provided here. It sounds superb! At times it has that ’80s Def Leppard anthemic sheen in the chorus! I think she’s really ditching that once nice image for a more sleeker, glamorous one. I believe that this will be just as heavily played as One Step At A Time (which has been playing for some 10 to 11 consecutive months on the radio) or No Air. I hope the new album is just as exciting.
Jordan looked beautiful. But I’m going to go with Sally on this one- all the way through.
Let us keep watching Allison (AlleyKat) though- as a certain someone says- she has a ton of raw talent and some mad skills and confidence and drive for her age. She is a helluva singer and It seems to me that 19 does like its boys….. but not to worry for Aley cus she is a walking marvel about to start rocking and rolling up a storm. I look forward to it. The sad thing is- that the industry on the whole is tough on women. Really tough. The upshot? A lot of women go out to forge their own paths which leads to a lot more creativity ala Linda Perry & more. It has been a very long time since a guy has done so…
She sounds like she’s trying to be somebody else (read Beyonce). Needs to chart her own course.
I thought it was forced. The song, the voice, the image. Maybe I just can’t get beyond the Jordan from AI.
It’s okay…kinda catchy but man does it aim low on the originality scale (the melody is a rip-off of the Christian classic “Awesome God” and the lyrics are also a rip-off of “Love is a Battlefield”). I dunno, the performance just proved to me that…
A. Ryan Tedder is incredibly overrated
B. Jordin still can’t decide if she wants to be Beyonce or Kelly Clarkson
no. Like the girl has real talent. this song just makes me mad, Feels like a cheap Pat Benetar rip off.
