Gene Simmons would never say Adam is the supreme rocker…..especially with the rumors about Queen…..that’s like recommending your competition. Both Queen and Kiss are old hat…..but Adam would revive either of those bands from the dead…..I hear he wants to do his own thing first. I applaud that. He is gutsy to go along with those pipes that are the best in the industry.
if anyone thinks adam cannot sing rock- then you should check out the music from his old band…he rocks
i thought his whole lotta love rocked and i am a huge zeppelin fan who has always felt no one but robert plant could do justice to them…i would love to hear adam do more zeppelin
as far as gene simmons goes- sorry but i was never a kiss fan and never could take them seriously, as musicians..it was great ‘fun’ to see adam sing with them but he is better than that level of ‘rock’ music..just my opinion..

Absolutely NOT. Gene Simmons is a pathetic hypocritical egomaniac. He should consider himself lucky to share the stage with Adam Lambert, who has more talent in his pinky then Simmons will ever have. Who ever really took KISS seriously in the 70′s besides little kids who bought all their merch? Adam Lambert will be iconic. Simmons also has no right to tell Adam to Shut up, when he wrote about all his own exploits years ago (did he forget that we all know he had sex with thousands of women? I guess that’s ok though cuz he’s not gay right?) And what’s with him implying that Freddy Mercury isn’t really a “rock” singer? Gene is just jealous because he was upstaged by Adam, hell the guy was singing/screeching/talking the song AI, he’s lame as hell and should STFU!!!
Ok, so KISS has always been lame and no respectable music critic would give them relevance, except for maybe selling dolls and lunch boxes and having a good gimmick. Gene Simmons should STFU because he’s a pathetic loser who is loser hypocrite. How dare he tell Adam to shut up when he wrote a book about him sleeping with thousands of women – wait is that okay cuz a. we all wanted to know (NOT) or b. cuz he’s straight? Also what’s up with him implying Freddie Mercury doesn’t have a “rock” voice? Is he delusional? I think someones way jealous cuz Adam upstaged him on AI. Simmons should thank his lucky stars that Adam performed with them because for the first time in a long, long time they are on the charts…singing with Adam.

Honestly, my favorite part of the Kiss/Adam performance was “Beth”. Adam’s beautiful voice was moving, sensual, pure and beautiful and that little eyebrow raise and sexy look at the end gave me chills. The glitter was just the right touch.
Adams voice is more rock and sounds better than Simmons.
Hmm, sounds like he must have been talking about Kris. Ballads? I would agree that Adam can sing pretty much anything, but I wouldn’t say that his forte is ballads. He is however, in my opinion, in the same vocal and performance category as Steven Tyler and the likes.
Something tells me that Adam wouldn’t want to get stuck with a band that did the same type of music all the time, so Simmons’ comments don’t really mean jack.
