I know celebrities are like politicians. They can’t answer truthfully as the don’t want to alienate fans(voters), but I’m going to ask anyway. Adam Lambert sang with kiss. Both Adam and Chris sang with Queen. In my opinion Chris couldn’t shine Adam’s boots. He shouldn’t have even been in the top 5. If you were going to invest your own money, who’s career would you support?

I TOTALLY agree and have been saying just that for some time – glad a REAL Rock God gets the differences, unlike the idiots at AI!!! And, no, Adam should not front Queen – Freddy Mercury was probably rolling over in his grave after Wednesday night. YUCK! Why are people so in love with Adam that they can’t hear????
adam can sing whatever he wants and it sounds amazing. rock! i love adam singing rock. i think that ugly kiss guy is just jealous
I am not entirely in agreement with Gene, he can sing rock, but it’s theatrical rock, and more of a… I’m not saying Glam Rock, I find people use it against him too much. It’s more performance rock than rock-rock. Ugh, you know what I mean.
why everybody refers as adam and broadway as if broadway was something bad. I would love to see adam in broadway but I also think he is a great rocker!!!!! he doesn’t sing like mercury not like kiss… He sings like Adam Lambert and that is why my family, friends and I love Adam lambert. too bad none of us voted 40,000 times for him.. I wish I did but i only did it twice and somem of my friends even they love him to death didn’t have time to vote.
don’t try to tear him appart because he didn’t win a stupid trhophy. he deserves more than that.
I think Adam should be Adam. He’s unique, exciting, eclectic, and brilliant. I hope he does not let anyone “define” him. Any label will only limit his creativity.
everybody has an oppinion but in my oppinion Adam is waaaaaay better than kiss. (and kris) and i can’t get over the shock of the american idol results. anyway, good luck to kris and I wish adam the best of the best because he is simply the best!
Yuh? WTH is the Broadway thing people keep mentioning – not that there’s anything wrong with it. But it’s a stupid thing to keep bringing up. Especially since Kiss is a “theatrical” band that donned costumes when no one would listen to them otherwise. I like them because they are iconic, and rock, but musically no one over the age of 10 listened to them when I was a teenager and they came on the scene – I saw them in concert (that started at 6 p.m.) and it was filled with Moms and young kids. Only later did they begin to get older fans.
Go download Adam’s “Cryin” and “Whole Lotta Love” on itunes and tell me he can’t rock. His voice is perfect for it (and other genres).
Hardly makes sense to say that. Gene is a shrewd (and rude) businessman, I’ll give you that, and he’s enormously egotistical and opinionated, so I’d take everything he says with a shaker of salt.
As we Brits would say. I was ‘gutted’ Adam lambert didn’t win American Idol. I’ve just seen the final here in the UK. Adam was by far the most original artist of the whole 2009 series… A true showman, and soooooooo good looking to boot !!! Go Adam !
Adam is rivoting! Not only does he have one of the most unique voices my friends and I have ever heard, he has an amazing style and sassy attitude to go with it. We would pay to see him perform. Repeatedly. Rock on Adam!
I would have to respectfully disagree with Gene on this one. Did he somehow miss the Led Zeppelin performance? Over the course of this season of American Idol, Adam was extremely versatile and performed amazingly well in each and every genre presented to him. I think Adam will have the opportunity to silence a lot of his critics if he’s able to have a lot of control over his future career. He’s someone who knows who he really is and I hope he doesn’t lose sight of that. He has a different perspective and we love him for that. You don’t have to fit some cookie cutter mold to be successful. Everyone needs to stop hating on Adam. That especially goes for Clay Aiken. WTF does that guy know?
Yeah, Adam can rock. He’s fantastic on Whole Lotta Love, Slow Ride, Cryin’, you name it. He sounded great with Queen and Kiss. He’s not Freddie, but Freddie wasn’t Adam, either. Adam is also great on ballads. In short, he can sing anything. Looking forward to his first CD.
Adam is whatever he wants to be – he wants to do rock – he is a Rock God, he wants to do R&B – he is R&B God, and so on…everyone else is just plain jealous of him!!!!
Of course, Adam is a rocker, only a Freddie Mercury kind.
I think Adam should go the Prince and Madonna route. He’s so original and freaky and he’ll just blow the music world away. He should also hook up with music producers that are famous for making hits. Looking forward to your debut album baby!
