She sang about "Deja Vu" back in 2007 — and now Beyonce’s living it. Her just-released clip for "Ego" feels an awful like the (admittedly awesome) "Single Ladies" with a spiral perm. Black-and-white film? Check. Fosse choreography and leotards-as-outerwear? Check. Queen B plustwo saucy backup dancers on a bare backdrop? Chickety-check. But don’t take our word for it; watch below and tell us what you think — fresh or retread?

It doesn’t matter much since vids don’t have the impact they did 10 years ago. As long as it’s got some dancing people can do themselves and post on YouTube then it has done it’s job.

The problem here is the song is too slow for a dance vid. Hence, they have regressed to choreography inspired by stripper moves, not Fosse. That, on top of the fact that “Ego” is just not that great of song, makes this a big ole RETREAD in my book.
For all you Beyonce fans, if y’all have heard yet, she announced earlier this week that she is releasing the “Above & Beyonce Video Collection & Dance Mixes” EXCLSUIVELY at Wal-Mart on June 16th. The selling point is the Kanye West remix of this hear song, “Ego”. Just in time to start her U.S. tour & cross promote…I swear she never goes away long enough for us to love her again….
I think she’s just sticking with the same theme for the whole album. Since video’s don’t have the impact they once did it’s probably cheaper too.
This song is absolutely horrible. Who buys this crap?

the video sucks! this look like a remake of single ladies with the same old horrible moods she does all the time! very disappointed!
