Courtney Love might have a teensy credit-card problem

Courtneylove_lIf you see Courtney Love’s name in a headline these days, sad to say, it’s probably safe to guess that it’s not good news. Her latest debacle: American Express is suing her for $352,059.67 in unpaid balances on three credit cards, according to legal papers obtained by EW. That is a ton of money! Personally, I don’t think it’s very funny to poke fun at other people’s (alleged) debt issues. I do wonder, however, how Love will pay off those bills, assuming that AmEx’s suit is legit. Maybe there’s another long-lost Nirvana track she can unearth? Or perhaps she could finally put out that second solo album she’s supposedly been recording for years? If all else fails, I’m sure some lazy celeb would be happy to hire her as a ghost-tweeter. What do you think?

UPDATE: Courtney Love’s attorney has responded to the suit, saying the unpaid charges are not the rocker’s fault: "AmEx knows the claim has no merit. We have told them this for a longtime. AmEx’s law policies allowed fraudulent transactions to be chargedto my client’s card."
