I may not have jumped on the KOL bandwagon until I heard Sex On Fire, but it hasn’t stopped me from absolutely devouring all four of their albums since. I think each one is amazing and shows growth. The ability to mature as a band doesn’t make them sell outs, it makes them artists who are willing to move beyond their original sound to improve.
“Use Somebody” is FINALLY going for Pop/Top 40 ADDS next week after this past weekend’s MTv Movie Awards exposure & the song flying into iTunes top 15 sales chart. “Notion” is the Modern Rock radio summer single. Jeremy, do you even actually research stuff before starting blog posts?! iTunes also has a Mark Ronson remix for the Kings’ single “Pistol Of Fire” thats worth snatching up! The Kings’ U.S. hit streak can officially start in the coming weeks…

I love this band. I love every song on the last two albums. Saw them in Florida last month, great show. Caleb’s voice is so unique. Love these guys!!
I love their earlier albums a lot, it is a shame the US radio never played them. Use Somebody is ok but i love Be Somebody a lot more from their new album. I also miss the long hair and sound that accompanied it much better than their new, “arena” sound. Nathan Followill is my hero. (i am also a drummer).
I’m the biggest kol fan i know.. but yeah, the sex on fire video kinda threw me off. But this new video really does fit the band. This is my favorite song off the new album and I hope it does well.
I love KOL!!! Bout time they get some recognition which should have come from the last cd Because of the Times. After that I bought their earlier albums. All of them are different but I prefer their country sound. Although Sex on Fire is a great song and so is Manhattan. Can’t wait to see them live again!!!
Kings of Leon were sell outs from the beginning. They aren’t even from Nashville. Caleb and Nathan moved to Nashville to pursue music. They were created in a corporate setting like any other boy band. All of their music is written by others. I was a KOL fan until I looked into it. Man did I feel duped. Now we have another Nickleback. Woo Hoo!
