Attention, live music fans: the most mind-blowingly self-indulgent tour ever is about to hit a stadium near you. Kanye announced today (on The View, no less!) that he and Lady Gaga will team up for a co-headlining tour later this year.
While I'm trying to decide whether this will be the most amazing spectacle ever or the most cringe-worthy display of ego to hit the stage since Mr. G. The Musical, I've got to give props to give whoever convinced the two most openly self-obsessed musicians in pop music to share the stage for an entire show.
No word yet on what the stage collaboration will entail, but maybe we'll see Gaga sport some shutter shades (or is that so 2007?) or 'Ye rock the leotard-with-shoulder pad look (so early '09?). West has already semi-collaborated with Gaga, using an acoustic version of ''Pokerface'' on Kid Cudi's NSFW-ish ''I Make Her Say.''
Based on that song alone, I'd say the musical aspect of the show will be the hotness. I admire the two stars for consistently trying to outdo themselves, and with Gaga's Warholian aspirations and West's sometimes-NSFW envelope-pushing, the show will surely be visually stunning, too.

The big question is who will wear the goofiest eyegear.
Seriously though, I know these two catch a lot of flak, but I enjoy their music and no matter what haters will say, this WILL be something to see live.
Ugh! Not to be a hater but I want Lady GaGa to tour by herself not with Kanye. I think Kanye is very selfish and has a very big ego because he called himself the voice of this generation. HA!
innovative extravaganza. I’m picturing tons of crazy, neon, flashing lights, insanse glasses, and other over the top things that are going to make this show spectacular. Plus, they are two of the hottest artists on the music scene right now. Count me in!

This is going to be THE tour of the year, maybe decade. Yes they both maybe cocky, but they deserve to be. Gaga is the new queen of pop and Kanye is the best rapper alive. This is going to be frakking legendary.

Lady Gaga actually isn’t egotistical at all. She’s obsessed with art and music but she’s very humble about everything shes achieved.

I think this is a great tour for many reasons. For one, they will bring in completely different audiences. How many hip hop heads do you think would go see Lady Gaga, and how many pop tarts (young girls) would go to see Kanye. But love them or hate them, they both put out good songs, and from what I’ve heard are phenomenal live performers. You can dislike someone’s attitude, but you can’t deny talent, and they both have it. Although they can call it co-headlining all they want, but you know Gaga will be the opening act. Just like Justin and Christina Aguilera co-headlined, but she really opened for him. I think more artists should try this. Different generes touring together.
This will be a hot tour! Kanye West and Lady GaGa. Yes, they’re both self-indulgent, but they make solid music to match with it! I’m expecting spectacular stage sets with a lot of visual stuff! They each write their songs and have their own creative aspects of how they each want their music to sound. It will expose audiences who are fans of one artist to the other artist, have them exposed to other genres instead of the usual one-dimensional listening approach.

I have the polar opposite opinion to some. Get rid of Kanye! The guy can’t sing, his live capabilities are grabbing his crotch, and shouting like a dying walrus, it’s insulting that Lady Gaga thinks the fans can sit through his monstrosity of a voice. And she doesn’t have an ego, I really don’t know where you drew that conclusion, but Kanye does have enough ego for the both of them. Lady Gaga is somewhat modest, inspired, and is musically gifted. Kanye thinks he is all of those things, and is none of them, so maybe we should keep him selling Air Yeezy’s for a while, so we don’t have to hear him brag, or more importantly, sing. Seriously, though, he can rap well, so he should just go back to that.
Once they both learn how to actually sing and not use that awful invention called autotune (real musicians do not use that!) this tour might actually be… NO! this is terrible no matter how you look at it!
