Antony & the Johnsons' version of Beyonce's "Crazy In Love": Finally on vinyl (and CD)

The otherworldly chamber-pop singer Antony Hagerty has applied his flutey, haunting Nina Simone vocals to a number of covers, some more esoteric than others — including Bob Dylan's "Knockin'  On Heaven's Door," David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti's "Mysteries of Love," and Leonard Cohen's "If It Be Your Will."

This August 4, he will officially see Beyonce and raise her one white-boy Sasha Fierce with the release of the split single "Aeon/Crazy in Love," featuring his stunning orchestral take on B's 2003 smash. This live video doesn't quite do it justice, but it's a decent hint of what you can expect:
