Caitlin Crosby: Can Zach Levi's singing ladyfriend boost 'Chuck' awareness?

Perhaps you've seen Caitlin Crosby's cutesy/cheesy video for her single "Still Have My Heart" (in case you haven't, it's posted below) with real-life boyfriend Zachary Levi — yes, the main man from TV's Chuck – that's been floating around on the internets for a few months now.

Now, the the L.A. singer-songwriters' debut album Flawz (already available on iTunes) will be in stores this Tuesday, June 23. While Crosby has yet to make an appearance on Levi's show (though, now that there's a new season, things could be looking up for that prospect) it has featured the likes of Gogol Bordello, Band of Horses, and Foreign Born.

If Crosby's record hits a nerve, could Zachary Levi be the next Zach Braff? Let's take look at the evidence, shall we? Cult TV show? Check. Puppy-dog brunette cuteness? Check. Fondess for alt-y music? Chickety-check.

Why, I do believe we've got ourselves a battle of the Zachs underway! So will Levi's singer-songwriter gal pal help boost Chuck's music popularity to the ranks of say, Grey's Anatomy or Gossip Girl? What current TV shows do you think expose you to the best new music?

That IS Chase from House! Good eye.

Okay, best part of this video was the back-up dancers, no question – I know that one guy was in Veronica Mars, how about the other?

I don’t see how a nobody singer could have any effect on Chuck whatsoever. If anything he’s doing wonders for her career. And wasn’t Mandy Moore already established before Braff? I think she helped pull him up the ranks.

I love Chuck, and they have great music on that show.
Though I sometimes hate to admit it, another show I would recommend is One Tree Hill, which has fairly superb music on their show every week.
Also, I have downloaded some amazing gems that were played on Breaking Bad.

Caitlin’s video is an alignment of creative ease–people having fun, fabulous dancing, and a keen sense of comedic timing, all held together with a very clever and memorable song. Watch it and feel better. Caitlin Crosby is a rising star propelled by her own merits, talents, creativity, and general brilliance both inner and outer.

The other “backup dancer” is the lead actor from Step Up 2. I think they actually do some of the moves from the movie, too. Pretty impressive. And hilarious.

Unless I’m mistaken, Levi funded the recording of Kendall Payne’s second CD, Grown, after she left her label. I loved him pre-Chuck for making that album happen.
