Fans of David Gray (and/or any Grey's Anatomy singer/songwritery music), take note: He's finally got a new album on the way. Due in September, Draw the Line is his first record since 2005's Life in Slow Motion. After listening to him perform a number of his new songs at analbum sneak peak in New York's Downtown Music Studios, let me speak forall of us and say: Welcome back!
Guests were treated to a sampling of seven or so tracks off Draw the Line, including the first single "Fugitive." While lovely, the track is precisely the sort of wistful, heart-on-the-sleeve love song you'd expect from the British singer/songwriter. What was unexpected, though, was a duet with Annie Lennox called "Full Steam Ahead." Melding those two powerhouse voices was a stroke of genius, and the song — with its gorgeous orchestral swells and flourishes — is easily one of the album's best.
None of the tracks strayed too far from Gray's brand of melancholic love songs, but it doesn't matter. Gray's sincerity and robust voice have been missed, and his new music sounds well-produced and confident. (Perhaps because he produced the album himself.)

I’d have to go with “This Year’s Love.”
I am loving “Fugitive” and am over the moon the DG is releasing new material! My favorite David Gray song…ooh, tough call…but I’m going to have to go with “This Year’s Love”, with “Say Hello Wave Goodbye” coming a close second.

Love David Gray! I think my favorite songs are “Babylon’ “Please Forgive Me” and “The One I Love”, although “Destroyer” has been on my IPod rotation lately too.
My favorite hands down is “Shine” the first track on his first album followed closely by “Gathering Dust”

I think my favorite is “Hospital Food” but not far are “From Here You Can Almost See the Sea,” “Sail Away,” “The One I Love”…etc. Oh, who am I kidding, I love them ALL! ¬_¬
Everyone is excited about DG’s new album, but it sounds like many of the fans that posted messages on here only recognize tracks post White Ladder. Shine and Flame Turns Blue are deffinately on my top 5. Oh, and KELLY FAN… It’s, “As I was watching, you did a slow dissolve.”
I can’t wait until Draw the Line hits shelves. I would have to say Shine is my favorite song of his. It is the first track off of his first album. It is very raw and genuine. The close second would have to be Please Forgive Me. That track is one of the best produced tracks I’ve ever heard.
