Experimental Philadelphia rock outfit mewithoutYou's fourth album, it's all crazy! it's all false! it's all a dream! it's alright (out last month on Tooth & Nail), has some seriously heavy origins: Frontman Aaron Weiss — a freegan who only eats discarded food and tours in a bus converted to run on waste vegetable oil — looked to the writings of Sufi mystic Bawa Muhaiyaddeen; his work inspired both the title and the themes on the album.
The band will be on the road through August to support crazy (iaciafiaadia, for short? trips off the tongue!), produced by Daniel Smith (Danielson Famile) and Brian McTear (Mazarin, Matt Pond PA); below, check out the fantastical video for shambolic, freewheeling album track "The Fox, the Crow and the Cookie," and tell us what you think:

Aaron Weiss, did look to the writings of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, also fervently looks to the writings and teachings of Jesus Christ. Check out “A Stick, a Carrot & String” no getting away from that. Great video though!
