Give me a break! First, why do we need to see this unless the Jackson’s are looking to continue to profit off of their son. Second, this is now being blamed for his addiction to drugs. My mother was seriously burned and spent months in Cook County Burn Center and guess what – she was not addicted to drugs as a result. Can we please turn our attention to real heroes and make a fuss over returning military, and other everyday heroes who really deserve our attention.
Pepsi is trying to present an image that this video only shows something horrific that should be avoided. That is a deception people. Pepsi should also own up to the injury and say they are sorry if it did lead to MJ being addicted to pain killers.
Obviously your attention is on this story and not on the military returning from war. Practice what you preach.
MAR, Your mother had the identical injuries of MJ? Not likely. So don’t classify all injuries in the same category. Pain killer addictions after injuries occur all the time and MJ’s is no different. If you want to talk about military heroes go to CNN or FOXNews. Entertainment weekly covers no shows about military action to the best of my knowledge and if they do, feel free to go post on those links. MJ was not in the military so there is not military subject on this link.
it’s pathetic that the media feels such a need to exploit Michael’s pain and suffering. it sickens me that yesterday alone all the entertainment shows needlessly chose to replay the video repeatedly during their broadcasts. it is bad enough that they chose to show pictures and video f Michael on a gurny dying as medics were trying to save him. Michael is gone, so why can’t the media just leave him alone rather than exploiting him yet even more than they have for so many years. the media and the paparazzi should be ashamed of themselves.
After watching the footage of this accident I felt sick to my stomach. I find it so disturbing that it was released! What good does it do releasing is to the public? The man is gone and the media won’t let him rest in peace. I can assure you that the general public is getting sick of hearing about this person’s life. We know he was gifted, we know he led a privledged and troubled life and we know that drugs had a part to do with his death. Please just let him rest in peace already! It’s money over morals with the media. How pathetic huh?
I suspect that MJ’s family leaked the video to put in context his addiction to painkillers.
Another way for someone to cash in, that is what society is built on. Sad to say but it is true.
This is yet another reason to boycott Pepsi products for life.
Are we really knocking the media for trashing MJ now? That SAME media that gave us almost 2 dead-horse beating weeks of MJ?
This is your Frankenstein. Enjoy.
1. The footage has existed for decades. Who would profit by releasing it? Not Pepsi.
2. Photos of MJ before/after accident show he was into plastic surgery prior to it’s happening.
3. Addiction has nothing to do w/ a singular occurence. The rest of MJs life shows, at best, some questionable decision-making.
I may be one of the minority here but I think seeing this video was educational in a sense. We all knew that there was the Pepsi incident years ago but we were all lead to believe it was minor. Judging from the video, it was anything but minor. What impressed me was MJ’s response to this by donating the 1.5 million Pepsi gave him because of this accident to burn victims. We all know that MJ would have certainly gotten more money if he pushed for it and Pepsi certainly knows that.
And to everyone that is complaining that this is horrific and a money grab. We’re all guilty of exploiting as we’re all posting and viewing and watching and downloading anything we can, no matter how inappropriate it is. I would like to believe it’s human nature for us to be curious but in reality we’re all selfish and we demand to know everything our celebrities are doing, no matter how trivial.
This nation and it’s journalists are like white on rice for trying to get ratings..Like Pepsi rep stated this was 25 years ago. The ONLY reason you idiots are bringing it up now is only because Michael died and you want to make money off a dead person.. news media are in the same boat as most lawyers..money hungry , PERIOD.
Probably Joe leaked this wanting some more monies..Everyone knows when he smiles, he has money on his teeth, it’s obvious when you see him speak of Michael on television..
Oh and Chris on here and his comment is definately way off, but we all know this… LOL
STUpid Pepsi!
WHY sho such frightening images??
Because those images may someday help us/others in a similar life/death situation, , & show us how to save lives!!!!!!!
