Sweeping Brit rockers Muse are coming back this September 14 with The Resistance, their first new album since 2006′s Black Holes and Revelations — and now, no doubt, have a whole new audience to contend with, after the mammoth success of the Twilight soundtrack, on which their appropriately gothtastic “Supermassive Black Hole” appeared.
How do they sound after a three-year absence? Stream the anthemic rock opera “United States of Eurasia” (paging Freddie Mercury! And also Thom Yorke!) sneak-peaked below, and judge for yourself:

Always loved this band!! They have musically rich songs. Often it takes 2-3 listenings to really warm up to their music but once you do, you can’t go back
Thank you for posting this. I’ve been dying for some new Muse. They’re brilliant. Can’t wait for the new album.
love them. muse can do no wrong.
and muse has had plenty of fans before twilight.. it doesn’t matter if they flock to this or not. though i think it’s great if a younger audience has now been introduced to this great band through the author.
Ugh, do we really have to ruin a great band like Muse by permanently attaching them to Twilight? Surely, Paramore deserves that honor.
I love Muse! Fun song with their classic WTF apocalyptic messages. Maybe the Twilight people will really push them to superstardom in the United States (of America, haha). I gotta say I’m pretty sick of the Radiohead comparisons. Muse is its own band, and I personally think Matt Bellamy is a much better singer than Thom Yorke.
Ok, I’m one of these people that got hooked on Muse by way of the Twilight soundtrack. I have listened to other songs by the band and I really like it. I believe I will need to hear this song a few times to really like it. It’s not as cool as Supermassive Black Hole which I love to start my day with -it’s so motivating!
It’s a cooler world with Muse in it. They can take themselves pretty seriously sometimes, but with everyone else trying be as ironic and detached as they can, what’s really so wrong with that?
I don’t love this song quite as much as some of their older stuff, but I will keep on loving this band. It’s a little more operatic than I would prefer, but oh well.
This song sounds pretty epic! I love the Arabian sound and Matthew Bellamy’s voice sounds amazing. I don’t think they can do any wrong.
Kind of sucks they are known as a Twilight band, especially since their song was in the movie for only like 2 minutes.
I HATE twilight so much! I am disappointed that Muse are becoming more mainstream because of some horrible movie. Who really cares if the twilight fans will like this song?
