Two weeks after confirming to EW that his label was definitely a go, gossip blogger Perez Hilton is sharing his first signing to Perezcious Music: French singer Sliimy (pronounced “Sleemy”). “I think that his music will make a lot of people smile,” says Perez. “It’s good, adult, quirky pop.” Hilton discovered the singer, whose album will drop on Sept. 14, after receiving an e-mail with Sliimy’s cover of Britney Spears’ “Womanizer.” Hilton posted the song on his site last December, and recently enlisted celebrity pals like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Jordin Sparks to tweet “Who is Sliimy?,” creating instant online buzz. Sliimy is also opening some dates on both Spears’ and Perry’s European tours.

I love this artist. Sadly, I would not give Perez Hilton the credit by buying his CD. Good luck Sliimy, you’ll need to work extra hard to overcome the taint of Perez.
I don’t know where Perez finds these artists, but they should be grateful at least one person is paying attention.

Not buying Sliimy’s album only because Perez Hilton recommends it is just nonsense ! Sliimy’s CD is a very nice surprise !

You should support good music regardless of whose label the artist is signed to. Good music is VERY hard to come by anymore. Dont punish Sliimy just because you dont like Perez.

I would never buy any artist this guy supports.
I’m not saying that the Twitter introduction was brilliant. But I’m being honest. I will never purchase anything from the Perez Hilton label. And let’s not pretend that Perez discovered Sliimy. The artist is signed to Warner France and has two chart topping singles already.

just so you know, Sliimy is signed to Warner in France. It’s not as if Hilton had just picked up some random unknown talent. there’s been massive marketing promotion and media behind this guy for some months now. anyway, good for him if he can hop the pond.
LOVE IT. you don’t have to like perez. (i do, bc i appreciate people that are good at their jobs, no matter what it is) But not buying an album bc of who is behind it is absoutely ridiculous. Sliimy clearly possesses talent that so little lack, and should get the recognition he deserves.

While I don’t deny he’s interesting, he sounds like David Sedaris’s imitation of Billie Holiday. And the production is derivative.

The picture of him in the glasses looks like the Caveman from the Geico commercials!! This music blows..you could find a homeless person that sings better than this guy.
