Jill and Kevin video: adorable viral clip of wedding dancers unexpectedly sparks Chris Brown sales

Four-plus months after the assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna that derailed his career, Chris Brown finally apologized on video — and the world said “meh.”

Then, this cutie-patootie video of Minnesota couple Jill and Kevin Heinz and their wedding party dancing ecstatically down the aisle to his 2008 smash “Forever” went viral this week, and suddenly the disgraced singer finds himself climbing the singles charts on iTunes (no. 19, as of this posting) and Amazon (no. 29) once again.

Watch below:

Is the pure joy and happiness of this clip helping to redeem Brown’s image in a way his taped mea culpa just didn’t? Do the warm fuzzies inspired by a group of goofy, chapel-boogying St. Paulies make you feel more forgiving of him, despite yourself? Do tell, in the comments section below.

UPDATE: As of Monday, July 27, the song has now reached no. 7(!) on iTunes.

I’m embarrassed that I even watched this. They should’ve danced to the song “Chris Brown Should Get His A$$ Kicked”

  • Pamela

Hello, no it doesn’t put Chris Brown in a better light! Doesn’t have anything to do with him! But I love those people in the video. Goosebumps and happiness!

  • alexis

That is awesome..go Chris Brown..he is very talented…That wedding was Fabulous..

    • james d

Yeah, yeah he’s talented at beating women.

  • Kolosol

I forgave him before the apology video so this doesnt effect me either way. And honestly i think your reaching even connecting this event to Chris Brown’s image. Its a wedding video. If they played a Amy Whinehouse song would have said the same? Probably not. I think our bias is pretty evident in this article. You should be able to forgive a 19-year old kid for making mistakes – as terrible as they are.

  • Kolosol

    *your bias..

56.Nice video.. atleast ive found the real deal.. ive been lonkiog for this kind of stuff for a long time.. ive read about chris farrell . like me, a lot of people out there who was a victim of a kinda scammed thanks for your review and it helps a lot not only for me and to those wha plan to make a business online..

I think it’s great that people turn such an event on its end like that and make it into the celebration that it should be. The groom made a great entrance, while the bride should have had a different dress so she didn’t have to hold onto it. Was this before or after Chris assaulting Rhianna, because the one guy danced down the aisle while doing boxing moves. Inappropriate? Also, while I can see this increasing interest in the song, this video and song shouldn’t make anyone “feel better” about Chris as a person.

  • Tracie

It is a combination of his apology, this video and the grace of God! I am happy for Chris! He has been unfairly targeted by the media.

    • chris

hahahaha…..just like rihanna’s face was “unfairly targeted” by cb fists.

Why can’t we forgive him, he’s young and made a mistake, how many of us have been given second chances for some dumb thing we did.If we aren’t able to forgive him, then the, Josh Brolin’s, Christian Bale’s, Christian Slater’s, Roman Polaswski’s, James Brown’s,Michael Jackson’s, Robert Downey Jr. and many more who have committed abuse and drug crimes wouldn’t be giving us good movies and music. I often have wonder if one crime rates more than the other. Abuse is wrong but so is so many more… I wish Chris Brown the best in his life, I hope that he will continue on with his music career, I haven’t yet understood why they don’t want to play his music, his music had nothing to do with this! I will continue to listen to his music…

    • chris

wait your really going to compare Christian Bale’s cursing out an crew member to Chris Brown beating the s(*& out of his girlfriend?????…you need to be “put down” for the sake of the species.

      • Russ

I think Rebecca may have mentioned Christian Bale as it was well-documented that he was arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother and his sister in 2008. Given this your comment seems fairly redundant and stupid. Perhaps somebody else would leave a similarly obnoxious comment regarding *your* usefulness to the species. I am not that person.

  • Taz

Maybe this couple wasn’t looking at the negative part, just looking for the right song to show their feelings for each other, and wanting to be together, FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PeterBilt The Nature Boy

This is a fake and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot

  • Snarf

I call shenanigans. This just “happens” to hit you tube after his apology is given an almost worlwide “pfft?” Please.
If he could he’d pop out a kid – parenthood whitewashes everything.

  • Arliene Flores

Man what an awsome wedding entrance.! I dcouldn’t help but smile so big my cheeks are sore. I’ve never felt so good for a strangers special event as I did when watching your wedding video. Thank you for sharing it it brought me joy and the song was a perfect choice WOW it was AWSOME!!

  • Wendilynn

People love songs. They could care less in most cases to who the singer is personally. Look at Micheal Jackson, so many believe he is a pedophile and yet his music is some of the most requested music at any event I DJ.
Chris will see a profit in this song because we love the video and it makes us feel good. Hopefully he’s learned that you don’t beat up on women.

  • Cindy

I thought this Video was a great expression of a happy wedding party. Had No Clue that it is a Chris Brown song. Great Beat and looks like fun to dance to.

  • Sarah

To everyone saying “He’s just a kid, we all did dumb things when we were kids.” Did we all beat the one we love to the point where their face is unrecognizable, & bite them as if we were some wild animal? Don’t think so.
