A Tale of Two Jays: NBC announced today that hip-hop superstar Jay-Z will be the first official musical guest on Jay Leno’s new prime-time comedy series, The Jay Leno Show, on Monday, Sept. 14 — and that he’ll be bringing bold-faced friends Rihanna and Kanye West onstage with him.
The trio is slated to perform “Run This Town,” from the Hova’s hotly anticipated The Blueprint 3, due Sept. 11.
Listen below and tell us what you’ll be expecting from the power trio when they hit the stage next month: Total domination, or inevitable letdown?

Yay! More reason not to watch!
Can’t wait. Missed Jay and can’t wait for this song.
Well, there’s a reason to watch the first episode at least.
why on earth is Rihanna wailing on that track?
Bad.The lackluster no talent trio.I will skip that show.
this will not be that well good. musci will be crapling with ovrall bad tones.
Wow, a lot of people hating this before they’ve given it a chance. Dean, you are not open to all varieties of music so you’re opinions are not valid. This is a great way to start off to get the 18-49 spot that attracts advertisers. Excited to see Jay, miss him on late night.
Deauh for autotune moment of silence.hova is great.kant wait
Rhianna is smoking hot;but, her nasal, warbling voice ruins this song.
Your song sounds hot.
This song is terrible. It’s not that I’m not ‘open to music’, it’s that the song is unoriginal and bad
I like the song, but don’t give Dean a hard time. Seriously, this is the first actual collabo (vocally) between Kanye and Rihanna, actually being released.Sure, Jay & Kanye have plenty of records together, both, production wise and trading verses, but I honestly expected more of a POW being that this is Rihanna’s 1st new vocal being released this year, regardless of the Chris Brown incident. In some ways, I see this as almost lable politics. Though Jay maintains he has a good relationship with Def Jam after buying out his last cd (“Blueprint 3″), I almost feel that the appearance of his former Def Jam signess, Rhi Rhi & ‘Ye, was an act of good faith, but the track is just….Ok. its not legendary, as it should be, esp. after “Umbrella” ‘s success. I mean, it’ll be a huge pop hit, but I’m more interested in HOPEFULLY seeing Jay perform on the VMAs rather then Leno. If he wants to promote the Blueprint 3, THATS his audience, not primetime NBC….
How about booking real talented singers like Renee Olstead?
nice. cant wait
