Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval, 'Trouble': A Music Mix exclusive stream

Fans of the languid jangle mastered by ’90s shoegazers Mazzy Star — and frontwoman Hope Sandoval’s own solo work — were thrilled to hear of Sandoval’s upcoming return last month, after a lengthy recording absence.

Now, in advance of her September release, Through the Devil Softly, EW is offering an exclusive stream of the track “Trouble”; listen below:

What do you think, Sando-vites? And how much are you anticipating meeting The Devil in September?

Bavarian Nut Bread (or fruit bread?) wasn’t my fave, but this sounds promising. I’ll buy it for sure. Nothing represents my highschool/college mopiness like Mazzystar.

I like it. I’ll buy the album.

Heck, yeah! Been waiting for 8 years for new material from Hope! Can’t wait… already have “TtDS” pre-ordered on…. and hope to see her in L.A. next month.

Just saw Hope is coming to Milwaukee Pabst Theatre–a great venue–very intimate. Saw The GREAT Les Paul there for his 93rd B-Day celebration. Very pleased they booked her in Milwaukee and I don’t have to drive to Chicago like the last tour.

I’m sure you are all great fans and everything but no one is as dedicated as I am; I bought 8 copies of Hope’s new release from Amazon and if this one ever goes out of print like Bavarian Fruit Bread did I’ll still have her music for the rest of my life. Don’t ask to sell any cause I won’t sell anything I have of hers no matter how many copies I have…lol.
Hope please come to Grand Junction, CO to perform would really love to see you here. Much success to you with your new album and I am also looking forward to the new Mazzy Star release when ever that comes out as well.
Hope you are still beautiful even at 43 and and you are at least as lovely as your music is. I am hooked, what an amazing experience it has been listening to you sing. Thank You
