I say that Mariah Carey. She Ruled the 90s.She came back with a new look in the 2000s

  • Kisha

Whitney All The Way!! Never cared for Babs, Madonna is not a Diva, & Mariah almost never sings live!

  • L.DawG

MADONNA all the way…like the promo says 34 songs that changed the world…forget The Immaculate Collection…THIS IS the ULTIMATE Madonna GH and I will be getting it for sure

No Babs for me, I’m part of the younger Gay generation(the age where Madonna’s the Queen, Kylie is the Princess and Britney is an after-thought) I’m sure the old Gays will be all on that Yentl comes release day…

    Whitney is whack!

Mariah…I’m counting the days and months b4 she pulls an MJ (’nuff said)

    • wakeforce

Does being a new gay make you an an A**hole. judging from you, the answer is yes!

    • Brett

I could care less if your gay, well I am straight what in the world does it have to do with music?

    • Rory

Unfortunately, this is not the ultimate greatest hits, as it does not include many of her biggest hits such as Live To Tell, Who’s That Girl, Dress You Up, Angel, Causing A Commotion, etc. Needed to be 3-CDs to truly include all of the hits.

      • Edgar Colon

I think you are expecting a greatest hits from the 80′s instead of the GH of her career.

WHITNEY ALL THE WAY, then Madonna, not a huge Mariah fan. Obsessed does nothing for me. I will get Bab’s though. Just cause she is a legend and rarely records.

  • linda

Whitney’s cd. I love what i’m hearing so far. I will definitely be purchasing ‘I look to you’ on 8/31/09

  • clare

    Whitney! The true DIVA!

  • Jon

    Madonna. Only Madonna.

  • Chuck

WHITNEY!!! It’s been way too long…over 7 years since her last studio album and this highly anticapted fall release will out sell and win more awards (can you say Grammy) then the others by a longshot. Songs, “Million Dollar Bill” written by Alicia Keys, “Call You Tonight” and “Salute” are all sure-fire smash hits! I’ll be first in line to buy this hot album from the one and only diva herself, Miss Whitney Houston!

MADONNA..ALL THE WAY! SHE IS THE QUEEN! SHE HAS THAT CERTAIN QUALITY THAT THE OTHERS JUST DON’T HAVE! SHE WAS RELEVANT IN 1982 AND JUST AS RELEVANT AT 51 YEARS OLD IN 2009! I LOVE WHITNEY TOO, AND WANT HER TO DO WELL AND IM SURE SHE WILL :) MARIAH NEEDS TO JUMP ON THE HIP-HOP AND GET BACK TO BASICS. BABS SHOULD CHILL! THAT JUST MY VIEW! PEACE AND BLESSINGS!

  • Keith

Mariah & Whitney: most definitely, Madonna: already have all the songs except for the other bonus track-didn’t love ‘Celebration’
    Barbara Streisand- Not my generation…thankfully!

  • scott

    Whitney!

  • aa

i’m happy that whitney is back and hope that the next single will be better than the first crappy one. but madonna hands down, the woman never disappoints.

  • Noah K

While they are all formidable stars, I view Madonna as the only authentically creative artist among this lineup. Unlike the other 3 performers (who have all publicly insulted Madonna), Madonna has made substantially original contributions to popular music, fashion, dance, and photography. Despite Mariah’s recent (and slight) edge on Madonna in the American market, Madonna’s global audience is staggeringly larger than Mariah’s. When these albums drop, look at how many countries Madonna’s goes to number 1 in compared to the others. Madonna commands a larger worldwide fan base than perhaps any artist in history.

    • fancypants

Madonna can’t sing, whereas Mariah, Whitney and Barbra actually have talent. Without music producers and an overtly sexual image, Madonna would be nowhere today. That’s the truth.

      • Robbyrob

        Yo fancypants,

First of all, if Madonna had no talent why was she nominated (in her first year of eligibility no less) and voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Every singer out there uses producers and songwriters so that alone was a stupid statement. Why penalize Madonna? You actually had me scream out in frustration that you said Mariah doesn’t use sexual imagery in selling her music…HELLO…EARTH TO FANCYPANTS!!! Those boobs of hers have gotten more press that they deserve their own agent! Barbra’s not my thing and I’m glad Whitney has gotten her life back after the drugs. If Madonna isn’t your thing, then good, move on. Madonna certainly doesn’t have to prove anything. Please re-read that truth of yours.

    • Edgar Colon

      Noah K I agree 100% with you

  • fancypants

also Madonna does not command the largest fan base in history. Michael Jackson does. He can tour Africa, Bulgaria, Spain, Thailand, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD and attract the masses. I’m black and I don’t know any black people or non-white people who even like Madonna. Please, her only fans are gay men and some white people.

    • wakeforce

Hello, Miss Thing! I am gay, black and love Madonna. however I don’t feel I have to insult people to make my point. What is it with the young gays today? And if you haven’t heard, Michael Jackson won’t be touring anywhere any time soon! Jeez!

    • Nadine

ummm I’m black hun. I luv Madonna and not no gay either. What your sayn is just crap. AND just to let you know-Madonna does have the same star power as my MJ did. Check her recent tour stats before you speak a bunch of crap like that sweety. No one these women have anything on Madonna. She is the Queen.

    • Noah K

Madonna’s current world tour is already much more successful than any of Michael Jackson’s, whose global visibility was substantially less than Madonna’s, although after Madonna and MJ, no one comes even close.

    • fancypants

MJ has visible talent and is a master songwriter. Madonna can barely sing & does not write her own songs. You must be the 3 black ppl who like Madonna, and what a shock, some of you are gay too!

      • Nadine

3 Black people? And shock that some are gay? For real you need to wash that mouth out with draino Ms.Nasty. You have not (and hopefully NEVER will go to a Madonna show) so you have no idea what you talk’n bout. More crap talk for real.

      • Reed

Hello? Since 1986 Madonna has written and produced most of her material. Do a little research first, brainiac.

      • Edgar Colon

OH fancypants I’m so surprised about your great talent “knowlegde” but Madonna sing and write many of her songs and also her concerts and shows are far more visible than those of MJ.

    • fancypants

also, everyone knows Madonna slept her way to the top. She constantly relies on sex to sell her music (i.e. recent pathetic Hard Candy album cover). a real artist does not need to do that. like ms. whitney says (paraphrasing)–”keep your clothes on, let your voice be the focus!” but then again maybe it’s best for madonna to deflect attention away from her “voice”.

    • Robbyrob

      Yo Fancypants part deux,

Madonna is currently on her second leg of the Sticky & Sweet tour and has played Bulgaria, Barcelona (which is in Spain you moron), Russia, much of Europe and Israel. You are spouting such falsehoods how did you EVER graduate high school. Gay fans are often the driving force of whether artists survive or not. Madonna has embraced gay fans (like a lot of others have nimrod) and we have embraced her right back. I’m sure you were glued to miss Whitney in all her lady like glory on the Bobby Brown reality show. What a meltdown that was! You know nothing of what your talking about…you can’t even make a legitimate case for anything….okay maybe your black, but that’s it.

  • Katie

    Mariah, Of course!
