Happy Birthday, Rick! As for my favorite Springfield song, I would have to go with Jessie’s Girl – in fact, I still have the 45 that I bought back when I was 13!
I cannot believe he’s 60!!! I really like “Love Somebody”. I play it on my iPod all the time.
With a boyfriend in high school named Jesse, for obvious reasons, my fave is Jessie’s Girl. The difference in spelling was irrelevant to me. Loved this song. Happy B-day, Rick!

Rick’s greatest asset (cough, cough) is his showmmanship. He still knocks it out of the park every show. He really reaches out to every single person in the crowd. My fiance, not even close to being a “pop music” person, loved his show and says we can see him any time. Whew!
the whole “working class hero” album is a pop classic. and i’ll never forget the time rick’s limo rolled over my friend daphne’s foot!
He’s aged very well indeed! It all comes from taking good care of himself as well as having a good family life. Did you know he’s been a vegetarian for about 30 years?
