Jay-Z disses Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh in 'Off That' featuring Drake: Hear it here

Categories: Drake, Jay-Z, Leaks

So you think you’re all cool and hip, huh? Well, you are not as cool as famous rappers Jay-Z or Drake — and you are certainly not as cool as Jay-Z and Drake together. This is the central thesis of “Off That,” the newly leaked Drake collab from Jay’s upcoming The Blueprint 3, and it’s hard to argue with. Just accept it: Whatever cutting-edge trends you think you’re inventing, Jigga and Drizzy already discarded as played-out years ago. Facts are facts.

The fizzy beat behind “Off That” comes from Timbaland; while he and Jay-Z have done more ground-breaking work in the past, those two are evidently still incapable of creating a bad track when they team up. Drake’s contributions to the song are limited to the hook, which he handles competently. And Jay? His ever-changing flow is on point as per usual, and he even sneaks a few smart lines into what is essentially a silly flossing anthem: “Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back/Tell Rush Limbaugh/To get off my balls/It’s 2010, not 1864!” I love party jams that come with stealthy political undertones, so I just about stood up and clapped when I heard that verse.

Listen to the leaked version of “Off That” below (some NSFW lyrics), and tell us: How do you like it? What do you think of Jay-Z’s latest lyrical shots at right-wing talking heads? Does this leak make you more or less excited for the Sept. 11 arrival of The Blueprint 3?

UPDATE: If that’s not enough Jay-Z/Timbaland action for you, another new Tim-produced Blueprint 3 cut called “Reminder” just leaked. Despite a somewhat irritating hook, it is possibly even catchier than “Off That.” Don’t miss Jay’s jabs at “all rhymers/with Alzheimer’s”!

i don’t listen to rap music anymore anyways but while they do have the right to say whatever they want in their lyrics including their own personal opinions i can’t help but think their opinions are simply racial motivated. rush and bill do not oppose obama because he is black but because he is a socialist. people that like or dislike these two political commentators realize this. they are pinheads.

    • Southern Boy

Bill O’reily and some other idiot bashed Jay Z on the O reily factor, i might have been Rush(cant really remember, But they did bash jay Z first

  • darrin

jay-z and drake are pinheads let me clarify

    • erikawas

Jay-Z is obviously looking for Free Advertisement on high rated shows. Look close kids, this is how a celeb sells out.

    • erikawas

I believe I speak for HOVA when I say he does not want or need a red cent from anyone that tunes in to Fox News ever.

  • SAJSTYLE

Yes… the Pinheads fell into Jay-z’s trap.. so typical. Rush and Bill will be talking..This is only the beginning… Bill and Rush wont last forever.. let the Music reign on these ” high rated shows” LOSERS

  • Music Lover

I can’t believe anyone would actually listen to this, much less watch it or pay for it!

    • erikawas

And what do you listen to that is so superior?

      HOVA! /_\

“Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back/Tell Rush Limbaugh/To get off my balls/It’s 2010, not 1864!”

I’ll bet Bill O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh couldn’t give a crap about JayZ and Drake, and I’d like to ask how they’re “on my (His)b**s”?

Other than these artists fanboys, no one really cares.

    • Southern Boy

Bill O reilly spent 23 minutes on his show talking about Jay Z, i think he cares

      • erikawas

        Good one Southern Boy!

      • xxxxxxx

i watch bill o everyday and i do not let me say do not remember a 23 segment wasted on the sell out they call HOVA. get your facts right

  • myron

I wonder if the author of this piece, Simon Vozick-Levinson, of Entertainment Weekly, a supposedly mainstream publication, would want to stand up and clap about a song that criticized Democrats/Liberals/Progressives.

    I didn’t think so.

  • Ross

Wow, who knew so many right wingers read EW.com…

  • jkp

I think myron needs to take another ride on the wahmbulance.

  • H.N.I.C

Speaking of right wingers, look at how defensive they get…It hurts’em!

  • morgan

No wonder why no body listens to rap anymore. What a complete moron who couldnt climb out of a wet paper bag.

    • Billybob

Many people like rap you fool.
Have you ever heard of Lollipop by Lil Wayne, sadly its rap, but yeah it sold like soup during the depression.

I would like to remind people in the entertainment world that conservatives buy music, watch tv, and go to movies too.

    • erikawas

You’re correct! Someone’s got to listen to country and watch Miley Cirus!

  • Will

Rush & Bill speak for, at best,10% of America. In our country many of us have fought &/or died so they can spew their racism & ignorance.

Nevertheless, you got to love Jay-z calling BS on these fact challenged Palinistas!

    • john

American’s in all states are more associated with conservatism, then liberalism (pew poll). So I would say that number is much higher then 10%

    August 1864 — General William T. Sherman’s Atlanta Campaign.

Union General Sherman departed Chattanooga, and was soon met by Confederate General Joseph Johnston. Skillful strategy enabled Johnston to hold off Sherman’s force — almost twice the size of Johnston’s. However, Johnston’s tactics caused his superiors to replace him with General John Bell Hood, who was soon defeated. Hood surrendered Atlanta, Georgia, on September 1; Sherman occupied the city the next day. The fall of Atlanta greatly boosted Northern morale.

Why doesn’t Jay-Z attack Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow? They are much worse. The Democrats are a disaster for the country.

    • erikawas

Have you completely forgotten about the last 8 years? Where is your leg to stand on?

  • spinninmarty

Speaking of Keith O, he is lately employing the services of “Best Week Ever” hosts to comment on news stories. I know comedians have been know to offer pointed insight to our world. But trust me, these guys are no Carlin/Pryor/Bruce. Pretty soon, Keith will exhaust that roster and ask VH1 to loan him former “Flavor of Love” contestants to give their opnion on health care reform.

  • pwayboy

Rush’s reply shows that he 0wns Jay-Z and other ignorant fellows…

“I would remind the rapper Jay-Z: Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants to mandate circumcision. We had that story yesterday; and that means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama.”

New Gallup Poll – Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals:

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/120857/conservatives-single-largest-ideological-group.aspx

This explains why Rush and O’Reilly have enjoyed an increase in ratings while their liberal competitors have suffer serious losses.

    • Will

It may be true that more people, only given the choice of two labels, choose the conservative label(including democrates).

Nonetheless, non-mainstream talking heads like Bill & Rush have a relitively small following; maybe 30 million per week? Thankfully, the other 270 million potential listeners/viewers, including most conservatives just laugh at their hyperbolic hate.

[I would like to remind people in the entertainment world that conservatives buy music, watch tv, and go to movies too.]

As basketball legend Michael Jordan said, “Republicans also buy shoes.” Naturally, Jordan made a lot of wealth despite living in “racist” America.

Sadly, Hollywood is more obsessed with pushing propaganda than being smart and successful capitalists like Jordan.

  • Fred

Speaking of Limbaugh, here is his response to Jaz-Z: I would remind the rapper Jay-Z: Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants to mandate circumcision. We had that story yesterday; and that means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama. I did not know I was on anybody’s balls, either. I’m happy to know that they think I am, though! But I didn’t actually know that I was.

He’s just stupied Rap artist spitting out his Racism &ignorance, maby he should have finished high school.

  • Andrew

It’s funny how names like “O’Reilly” and “Limbaugh” are just thrown around by people who have probably never listened to them/know anything about their opinions.

  • me

you suck JAY Z you always have.

  • will

Anyone who honestly believes President Obama “wants to mandate circumcision” can not be taken seriously! Period!

Wait… isn’t Rush an opiate addict? Might that explain his nonsense!

  • phil

This is why u turn on the radio and all you hear for the most part is garbage music mainly by black artist..radio doesntl play much music by white artist ..have you ever noticed that?….our liberal media needs to be destroyed…

    • khyre

That’s only true if you don’t know how to change the channel… It’s rap music which is mostly written by African Americans ,it’s not like other music is censored go write a song right now and if it’s good enough you can get it on the radio; for way to long i might add

  • Jon Louis

I wont be surprise if he gets grammy award.

  • will

Jay-Z is a racist? Simply because he called out two white talking heads?

Apparently racism has a diffent meaning in Rushland; which is the place the liberal media only plays music by black artists.

The one thing this thread does prove it is 1864 in Rushland.

  • JZSUX

This reminds me of the great West Texas Rednecks (WCW) song, Rap Is Crap, and then these no-talents like Mr. Beyonce and Feminem go out and prove it.Anyway, Rap Is Crap:

    I like country livin’
    I like country girls
    I like Willie Nelson
    and don’t forget about Pearl
But there’s one thing I just hate
Cause it’s a bunch of crap

    I-I-I HATE RAP!

    I like NASCAR racing
    Richard Petty’s still the King
    They call me a redneck
    Well that’s a beautiful thing!
But there’s one thing that I hate
Cause it’s a bunch of crap

    I-I-I HATE RAP!

But there’s just one thing that I hate
Cause it’s a bunch of crap

    I-I-I HATE RAP!

    RA-A-AP IS CRAP!

Yes this was during the time that WCW had the bright idea to bring in Master P for a couple shows…………..

    • khyre

this isn’t much different if you think about it ,this dudes expressing his thoughts and so is every rapper just some have little to talk about ,but hey you’re entitled to you’re opinion and so is Jay Z

  • Nanette

I love to hear true artists saying what needs to be heard. Awesome!! Our political freedoms are the way to real change. Thanks and peace to you.
