The two surviving members of TLC will perform together at an Oct. 17 “Justin Timberlake and Friends” concert in Las Vegas, People.com reports. This marks the first time Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas have played a U.S. show since 2002, the year when bandmate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes died in a car crash.
Considering just how hugely TLC’s music loomed over the R&B scene in the ’90s, this is a pretty big deal. I know I still miss TLC a little bit every time “Waterfalls” or “No Scrubs” comes on the radio. So what do you make of this news? Are you scrambling to get tickets to Vegas already? If the October show goes well, do you think that T-Boz and Chilli should keep the reunion going — either as a duo, or with a new third vocalist? Weigh in below.

They performed with Alicia Keys on an awards show last year.
Wasn’t there a reality show contest for someone to become the new member of TLC? Whatever happened to that?
No one cared and it was on UPN. Where tv went to die.
Yeah, and the girl was called “Oh-So-Krispie”. They performed their single “Girl Talk” with her. But I don’t believe she was actually featured on the single when released for purchase.
I believe that was simply a one-time gig.
I thought I heard, at some point, that Chilli wanted to make a solo record? Is she still planning on that?
Both T-Boz and Chilli both are working on solo albums (T-Boz recently guested on the Real Housewives of Atlanta trying to get Kandi to help with some of her material and Chilli has had several solo songs leak). They did perform with Alicia Keys and did the one-time gig with “Oh So Krispie” for R U that Girl?, a reality show on UPN. I’ve always thought they should do a double CD kind of like the members of Outkast did with one side T-Boz, one side Chilli and some collective songs on both. It’d be awesome and it wouldn’t go against the remarks they’ve made of not wanting to bring in a third to replace Left Eye.
TLC is the best girl group ever. Destiny’s Child don’t have half the classic albums as TLC. These groups do singles these days, TLC made albums. Many people don’t know that Baby One More Time by Britney was originally written for TLC’s FanMail album.
I think they should add Kelly Rowland to the mix!!!
