Whitney, simply the best. I love u, I respect, I honor you, and thank you for such a great album. We need this in today’s music. I miss “THE VOICE” soooooo much. Instead of all you haters out there, we should all thank Whitney for great music. That’s what she is about. Music that inspires and moves all of us. There is no doubt Whitney still remain The Queen of Music. Much Success on ILTY.
I love hearing the tracks from start to finish. Unlike the wannabe divas like Rihanna & Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston is a pure gem. I Look To You is a beautiful record from start to finish, and to be honest with you, this is the kind of album, from the definitive voice, that we really need to hear right now, especially with the death of Michael Jackson, and the recent death of Senator Ted Kennedy, looming around the wings and minds of the world now. Whitney delivered a pure beauty, and it is so good to hear her sing her heart out again, we’ve missed her deeply.
People have always hated on Whitney for one reason or another, just as millions and millions love her. The voice was always an attention grabber, but that is not what keeps us talking and watching and listening. Whitney has the rare auora that extends beyond her physical being. Even through the darkness it was and is present. The great ones are given to us for a reason. Their purpose is to lift us higher. Those who don’t get won’t, but when man wants to write you off, say you are a has-been, a crack head, too old, not black enough, too black, God will open the windows of heavan a pour you out a blessing.
I can’t wait to hear her perform live. She was phenom at the pre-Grammy party a few months ago!
After so much talk I was pleasantly surprised at how great Whitney sounded on this cd. I started looking up some of her recent live performances and was happy to see she is still one of the best vocalist out there. I can’t imagine why people are making up all this stuff about her not being able to sing. Do they really think we won’t hear that she still can? Aretha Franklin went thru this same thing when her voice changed. This CD is what music should be about. The songs are good. She sounds great and is acting age appropriate. I guess the real sign that she is back is all of the haters that feel the need to bash (over and over again). You are nobody until somebody hates you I guess.
Great cd! So proud of her! What an inspiration she has turned out to be for all those who think you can’t get back up when down. And Jeremy you are right. It’s like the freakin’ nineties all over again. Go Whitney!
Hey, I’m no huge Whitney Houston fan but even I concede it’s a great album. Sure her voice isn’t what it was, but what’s left of her voice is pretty damn good. What’s most impressive is that she’s still relevant. The songs are current, and Whitney’s voice delivers.
I have been Whitney fan since I wa old enough to sing! and I like this album! her voice is now raw and emotive,I feel very connected with her songs, her gritty sound adds to the heartache you can feel, Worth being one of those, if A voice has been abused like this it would take a good few years of training to get it back to ‘ as Bridger explained Whitney at her peak! and regardless of a change in vocals the album is for uplifting with a positve contribution to the lets face it ailing charts over the last 6 months! the last think decent to come from R and B was Jennifer Hudson so I will wait in anticipation for the album like the other 125,000 over the world who feel the same as me and have already pre-ordered cd..Good luck Whitney .many good years to come I hope xxx
