Actor Jason Schwartzman, he of Funny People and Rushmore and our favorite fake show-within-a-show, Yo Teach!, is of course the very same Jason Schwartzman who drummed for Phantom Planet and currently leads his own solo rock project, Coconut Records.
So it is the prerogative, it seems of a man both actorly and musical, to write his own damn theme song. Listen below to the title track he co-penned with Jonathan Ames, the creator of his new HBO series Bored to Death, and performs:
