I saw and taped the “Beatles Revolution” on Nov. 17, 2000. I was one of the best and most insightful studies of Beatles’ influence on our culture, history, and society in general. I’ve read critiques both positive and negative of the program but for me…IT WAS FAB!! I transfered my VHS copy to a DVD and I play the hell out of it. I wonder why ABC never put out a clean, remastered copy of the original program? When announcer Meredith Viera states that by the end of 1966 critics were saying the Beatles writing had “dried up” and that they weren’t relevant any longer…well, it’s Paul’s voice you hear saying that they had a surprise for everyone. That surprise…SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND would change music forever. As for the ABC special, I play it whenever I want to lift my spirits. It’s a work of art. Peace and Love, Tom
Adam Lambert is a very good performer, me and my biorfyend voted for him on American Idol. So many in the business have really noticed Adam. Given his talent, I would guess Adam will be someone many will want to work with, but he is a highly creative artist and won’t slip into someone elses shoes for long.
