Records released in 2000 were not released in this decade. This decade runs from 2001-2010.
The decade runs 2000-2009. Good try though
Ha. Nice Chris. Someone had to teach me about the decade on these boards too.
Excuse me, but Daphne and Celeste WERE amazing.
Today’s music sucks in general. I’ve purchased 3 CDs the last ten years and all were movie music soundtracks like The Dark Knight. That’s why the music industry is dying. It’s not because of illegal downloading.
Please, you just have to find the right music. There are plenty of amazing bands and artists out there.
I agree. Try counrty, it doesn’t get any better than Alan Jackson!!
Craig David’s born to do it? Really? Really? You deserve to listen to Vanilla Ice all day everyday for the next decade if you think he’s the worst. Did he dis you or something? Even his later albums aren’t bad enough to make this list. How about any dumb album with skits on it? Really you are so wrong for that, you have me questioning your credibility.
Whats funny is your own magazine gave Paris Hiltons album a B rating.
Your right. Here it is: Entertainment Weekly (B) Man you guys are crazy. You actually gave Paris’s album a B. Then you gave a really good album like FS/LS a B-. Who rates the music on this site.
They are right, it does give her a B. Maybe that is for bimbo!
this isn’t an EW list
In no way shape or form do the Kaiser Chiefs belong on this list…AT ALL.
I absolutely agree. How in the world did Kaiser Chiefs make this list when there’s so much HORRENDOUS music in the world???
Chinese Democracy was a very good album. One of my top five favorites of all time, in fact. The problem was that noone was willing to take their head out of their ass and give it an honest listen.
The inclusion of Chinese Democracy is a joke. It is a strong album and is hated on simply for the old band members’ lack of participation and the lack of sonic similarity to Appetite.
Chinese Democracy’s consistent extreme awfulness was likely a factor in it’s conclusion on this list. I was only disappointed that it wasn’t closer to number one.
Hi Jill & BobLove you red velvet caecukps from the Preakness! Incredible!!!! Beautiful cakes!!!! I want to order a high school graduation cake from you for our daughter Lindsey. We are having a party on Sunday, June 26th but I would pick it up on Saturday, 25th. I will give you a call tomorrow .for more details!!! Shari Warner
Hundreds of albums worse than these were released this decade. This list is purely gunning at popular artists to make a name of itself, which is more pathetic than most of the comments made so far.
What about all the smaller bands most of the limp-wristed scribes haven’t even heard of that made terrible albums?
Way to fuel everyone’s lazy attitude to music, GigWise. You’re helping no one.
In fact, the other reason you’re only including major artists is to fuel the public’s debate over the list because you know full well they’ll never have bothered listening to most of the bands who genuinely made the decade’s worst albums. People are so lazy when it comes to finding new music it’s a wonder the entire industry, radio and magazines included, hasn’t collapsed.
love it great list bad albums ,give a raise to who ever put this together it is spot on.
Chris Cornell should not be on the list at all. I’ve listened to Scream and really like it. People probably just weren’t ready for such an unlikely, innovative mixture of genres because they expect a certain type of genre or style from an artist. But if they listen with an open mind the album is fantastically creative.
I agree with most of this list, but wow Scream by Tokio Hotel is really good actually. Not as good as their German albums, but certainly one of the Jonas brothers albums could easily take its place
LOL……. You take those two bands seriously?
I have to wonder if the writer of this article actually listened to all of these albums or if she is just regurgitating a bunch of artists that people love to hate on. Sure, some of these “artists” aren’t artists at all (coughParisHiltoncough) and do indeed make crap music. But a lot of these albums are very good. People just love to hate on Tokio Hotel and Nickelback, and seemingly for the same reason: they make solid, catchy music that people enjoy. Ditto for the Black Eyed Peas. And Chris Cornell? Really? That guy is a genius and his music is amazing. For him to be on any list with Kevin Federline is just ludicrous.
I’ve always liked the Black Eyed Peas, but The E.N.D. deserves to be on this list. I was very excited when I found out they had a new album coming out, but it was a complete disappointment. I deleted it from my iPod a few weeks after I got it. The only reason it took me that long was because I thought that maybe the songs would grow on me. Sadly, none of them did. The album just sucks.
And don’t think I’m someone who only hated the album because I don’t like dance or electronic music. In fact, I happen to love dance and electronic music. But The E.N.D. is not a good one.
‘Scream’ was an awesome album… if it wasn’t, then TH probably wouldn’t be in your “most popular” section.
