saw PPM in concert when i was 9 in the ’60′s. I had every record and loved all the albums. Her voice was a role model for me and her harmonies were lovely. Rest easy Miss Mary.

As a young woman in the US Army in the late 60′s I had the privilege of seeing PP&M at Red Rock in Colorado, a memory I will always cherish.

    Don’t think twice Australia

The image I wish to remember her by is in this clip as it demonstrates how her exuberance
was such a big part of the trio , but never larger than a third.

    Blowing in the wind

Secondly in this clip as it demonstrates the truly beautiful quality of her voice.
Not to mention it was the second song I learned how to play on my guitar , I was about eight back then.

Part of me just left on a jet plane to somewhere in the great unknown.
I am Mary’s age and Peter, Paul & Mary, The Kingston Trio and Bob Dylan inspired me to play the guitar and sing the wonderful folk songs. I am still known as an “Old Folkie”.
I loved Mary Travers and I hope to sing with her some day. She was very special.

I sang their songs, even the most obscure, to my two kids and now my daughter, a professional singer/songwriter sings to other kids. The circle is unbroken.

Part of my childhood died with her today. Peter Paul and Mary taught me to sing. Her voice will always stay sweet and real in my memory. Thank you Mary, Bless you.

I grew up in the 80/90′s. My Dad would play PPM albums, and play his guitar in folk groups that would sing PPM songs.Their harmony was like no one else. You can not forget her wonderful voice. It taught me to listen to the music and think about the meaning and to appreciate what we have.

It is a sad day indeed. Mary Travers had such a beautiful voice, and the music is still wonderful. She will be missed.

Peter, Paul, and Mary sang songs that were relevant. Popularity wan’t their main focus. She will be missed by us all.

Mary Travers and John Denver were my first concert. My step- mom took me to Saratoga performing art center the summer of 1971. I remember someone yelling out “you’re beatiful to Mary between songs”
