Susan Boyle, while her situation is a great story for the press, is a novelty act at best. She has a lovely voice but absolutely nothing current to offer the music industry. Her CDs will make great holiday gifts for my parents and grandparents, but nobody I know cares about her now that Britain’s Got Talent has ended.
I see that Melissa. Everyone has forgotten most of the idols except for Adam. His fans will not let that happen, it isn’t like he gets much help from Slezak and others.
That is not true, at all, Melissa. Her CD has already been a success and it has not even been released yet! Everyone I know at work is waiting for her CD in Nov., and many of them are young people, in their late teens and early 20′s. Boyle transcends age. She is not a novelty act. You obviously can’t recognize true talent.
Neither can you. Not everyone has to agree with you. Um tell me how is it her CD is already been a success you say without being released? Are you thinking maybe her Amazon sales? Where now Adam is enjoying success and is number one? LOL

Eileen, SB might not have the it factor in your opinion, but she does have the voice.
Eyeliner and nail polish on a man isn’t exactly my idea of the it factor either.
Obviously you’ve never heard Adam sing. His vocal ability with any style from rock to blues, to country and everything in between is light years ahead of most current artists. He’s in the Streisand category…not the Boyle category.
Both Adam and Susan are Better, more versatile, than Streisand — all her songs sound about the same. They’re both very different from each other but both very talented. I simply root more for Susan. They can both go far if they play their cards right, I think.

Eyeliner and nail polish? He alternates his look every single day. There’s a tribute gallery on one of his sites that’s picspammed his 1000 looks over the years. It’s amazing.
His IT factor is his voice, it’s versatility and his charisma.
Watch his audition. He has no makeup or nail polish and he doesn’t even sound half as good as he could have but he still comes across as a potential star. IT factor.
Adam Lambert definitely has the IT factor and it’s not just his nail polish and eyeliner (even though it’s sexy). I can’t believe that some people can’t spot charisma and extraordinary talent when they see it. But then again, the ’90′s and early 2000′s music scene caused irreversible brain rot, so it isn’t your fault that you can’t.

It’s what you like. A voice that can bore me to tears isn’t my definition of the “it” factor either. At least I’m awake for Adam’s performances. I don’t understand why it’s such a terrible thing for a guy to wear eyeliner and nail polish. It’s his choice what he wears, where he goes, and who he dates. Judging people for petty things only reflects poorly upon the one making the judgements.
Wow, BrendaF, I agree with staciegirlie — what a shallow comment. What a person wears, on his or her nails or body, has nothing to do with talent or the so-called IT factor. Adam has it because he is insanely talented. He could be nail polishness and wear a gunny sack, he would still be incredible. Not to mention many of us would love to see the lovely Lambert IN a gunny sack, the shorter the better!! Droooooool!

Susan Boyle for me and for the millions who can’t stop clicking on anything she’s done. Can’t wait for that cd! Her voice and technique are supurb, and her sense of humor and spirit unbeatable.
Clicking on “free” is a different cat than clicking on to “buy”.
Susan’s CD is already at the top of the charts for pre-sales on Amazon, both in UK and USA. She’s the best.
Actually within less than 2 days of pre-sales of Adam’s CD becoming available on Amazon in the US (and with it not showing up when searching by his name) his CD hit #1 here. As for me – the only CD I have EVER anticipated in advance of its release is Adam’s. He has a voice, vocal range, and ability to make any song incredibly new and contemporary so I can’t wait to see what he does with original material and professional production. Hype shmype – Adam will deliver.

Don’t feel bad Anderson. I had no clue who she was either until I was flipping through channels and stopped on TMZ and they said her name. That was like a week before she lost and had her mental breakdown I think.

I am really not judging her at all but i already heard her songs n BGT and her voice didn’t touch my heart at all i am not that kind of person who don’t listen and just judge others i give chances and hear many artist but her voice didn’t work with me at all !! while Adam touched my heart majorly !! sigh .. and i do wish them all the luck

If he comes in 2nd to Susan I will puke haha the real answer to who will come in 1st is who will be invited to Oprah’s couches once the album drops. I am reserving my decision of whether or not to buy Susan’s album until I can get the gist of what type of songs are being offered on it. But having heard ADAM sing Brigadoon to Whole Lotta Love and everything that Ytube has to offer, I KNOW I will BUY ADAM’S ECLECTIC album!!

I have. Have you heard Charlotte Martin’s cover of Wild Horses? 1) Complete ripoff of it and 2) Much more emotion and artistry infused in 30 seconds of her rendition than in all of Susan’s.
Some people don’t like Susan because they know BETTER singers. Susan is hardly timeless or classic.
Kyuu – just listened to Charlotte’s version and agree her rendition had more emotion and enjoyed it a bit more than Susan’s. Susan does have a beautiful voice but I became a bit bored listening to her singing – don’t know why.
She can sing we get that, Adam can sing, so lets go to the stage presence. No freaking way would I buy a ticket to see Susan sing, she would put me to sleep. Adam I would and did and will again.
