Susan Boyle is a unique talent who will top the charts for years. Contemporary. No. Timeless. And what is a Michael Slezak? Possibly a rare form of insect life. Certainly not a knowledgeable music critic.

Obviously if you think SB is “Timeless.” you perfer her over Adam – which is your perogotive. But remember, her debut album is covers. SB is, and always will be, a cover singer. Period.
I don’t see how their cd’s can be compared musicly if SB is cover & AL is original. Amazon is now offering both their cd’s in one purchase. Good sales ploy IMO. If AL doesn’t get fed up by this stupid PR and quit, he will be it.

I voted for Adam in the poll, but I have already pre-ordered both on Amazon. I did not pre-order Kris Allen, but did pre-order Allison’s which debuts the first week of December.
Susan Boyle is the most exciting singer to come along in 20 years. She may have been discoveredd late but she’ll be around long afterthe latest flavor of tthe month is gone.
I cant even imagine what kind of personality you have if you think Susan Boyle is excititng..no comparison between her and Adam, Adam is the package deal, looks, voice, stage presence, charisma etc… the only thing susan has is a pleasant voice, shes definitely not a “whole package” !!SORRY BUT TRUE !!

Susan Boyle hands down. Her voice is just magnificent. I could listen to her forever. The lady has a huge heart,with a beautiful personality to match. Can’t wait for her album. Everyone I know will be buying it. God bless her. Arlene
Susan has a good voice but not current. Adam is not even from this planet. His voice is otherwordly and there’s no question in my mind that he will be iconic.

My dad hates Idol but he said Adam COULD be iconic in pop like Britney, Beyonce, Gaga etc. IF he has the right songs. It ALL depends on the music. Justin aside, it’s been fkn ages since we’ve had a male “popstar”…

I’m not going to diss Susan because I have to admit that I have never watched her YouTube videos. Therefore, I can’t judge her. Adam, on the other hand, I have watched over and over and over…I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about an album (or even the single — WHEN are we going to hear one?????).
How is this even question? Susan Boyle has a lovely voice, but I wouldn’t pay a dime to see her live. Adam Lambert is the most phenomenally exciting entertainer to come on the scene in years…and can EASILY sing rings around Ms. Boyle. No doubt he’ll put out extraordinary music videos, and have a live tour like no other. Can. Not. Wait!
Slezak, the more important question is why is Jive screwing Kris over in favor of Allison?? Nice cover shot of her single they’ve given her, while they completely ignored Kris’s single with a cover that doesn’t even have his picture on it. Seems like they’re banking on Allison big time! Where’s the outrage and story over Kris’s treatment??

Lambert cannot easily “sing rings around” Susan Boyle. He is good, but he is loud and grating a lot of the time. Boyle has a phenomenol voice and she even has one without music to back her up! I thought the guy who won American Idol when Lambert was on was better than Lambert. I dont get tired of listening to Boyle…I do get tired of Lambert, and yes, I do like him. As for the posters who have not listened to Boyle, you are missing out.
I’m afraid it is you who are missing out if you did not/have not heard ADAM’S rendition of Come To Me Bend To Me from Brigadoon or The Prayer a duet with Ilysia Pierce. Try looking them up on Youtube and then make that statement again. If you can then you do not know of what you speak!!!
Not true Cath. Alot of people DON’t think that. If you are going by his win on Idol. Ok. But if you go by how well received his album is going, without any help from anyone but his fans, then YOUR WRONG.
You thought Kris was better than Adam? Umm, ok lol. You could barely hear him in their Queen duet with Brian May.
He had to pull out of his own concert because he was ill, first time ever an Idol winner has done that. When Adam and Kris duetted on Crazy at Ford Day, Kris sang like a drunk baby. Seriously, he was slurring and out of breath LOL WTF. His studio recordings all sound literally the same but he has that emotional catch in his voice that teen girls love. And he’s too sly/naive when it comes to music. I remember when he said on Idol he wanted to take an original song and make it his own then he took Adele’s EXACT arrangement of Make You Feel My Love and stood there as the judges praised him on his “originality”.
Evidently a lot of people think Kris is better than Adam.
Susan has a nice voice but she is not a Barbara Streisand or even an Eva Cassidy.
Susan Boyle is so talented, I could just listen and listen to her beautiful voice. She is also a lovely person too. I and my family just loved watching her on T.V. With all the questions that have been thrown at her on various T.V. shows and interviews,she always remains poised and quite natural. Her answers are right on the mark,and she makes it look like she is sitting in her own home, talking with friends. Very smooth for someone who hasn’t ever been put on the spot like this.Susan you are a natural. We love you,and cannot wait for your album to come out. Arlene and family
