ould be the king of kings when it comes to music
doesn’t sound like MJ’s voice, doesn’t sound like MJ’s arrangement. Sounds like K-ching, K-ching for Sony and maybe MJ’s brothers.
This song is a great song! You hear how great he was even in a track that isn’t as polished as one of his classic hits. There are a lot of signature moments in this song that make MJ who he was and is. A true Jackson fan would appreciate the music he has given, Even if it had been locked away for discovery. Timing is everything and I believe the time for this song is now.
Jackson was a perfectionist! He wouldn’t have started and almost completed a track if he thought it was garbage or something he wouldn’t approve of! I’m tired of reading these comments that the song is alright or MJ wouldn’t like this being out there. Why would he have recorded it then! Also his music ear was on a whole other level then us. What was imperfect to him is perfect to us since he was his own worst critic. Do you forget in an interview he claimed after Motown 25 he walked backstage and was crying because he thought his performance was horrible! Was that crazy! Because to us that was magic! The best performance by a single human being on stage, ever!
MJ had a way of saving his moments for the right time and after his death this is the right time. It may have not been planned by him, but everything happens for a reason and this is just part of his legacy’s plan playing out. It may not be right that companies are rushing to put out music for the money, but it is necessary. How else would we have heard another classic like this? Plus I really don’t care, please put out MJ’s music finished or unfinished! I have full confidence that anything MJ recorded is great! And if he didn’t want it to be heard he would have destroyed the tapes not stored them away for the right time. I know me being a musician that if I record garbage or something I don’t approve of I delete it and get rid of it fast!lol Not hold it for safe keeping.lol
For all you who claim this song is subpar. Take the time to listen to “This Is It” again. Lose yourself in the melodies of the song. Catch MJ’s voice riding the music perfectly. At 2:12 during the song you will hear the start of the hook and his tone and emotion leading into it is the Michael magic people on here claim is missing. Maybe myself being a musician helps me to catch these things, but I’m sure true MJ fans out there can appreciate his instrument and work.
And to the one talking about MJ being disgusted about the grammar of another fans compliment, get a life! MJ was not a religion or way of life. He always was a humble man and if anything preached LOVE not hate! Especially if one lacked education or had disabilities! It didn’t matter to him how educated his fans were as long as they appreciated his work and efforts!

Thanks for your time! Rest in peace MJ. We miss you!
umm.. shutp up, onday (hopefully tommorrow) you will also be dead a rotting. imagine being a worm trying to bite into that retarded skull fo yours. Why the hell are you on this website if you don’t even like, like him or get off!
When I first heard this song it hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s beautiful and special and the lyrics are so prophetic. When he said This Is It during his press conference to announce his tour little did the world know how final that would be. The background music is is a little rough but that doesn’t matter his vocals are absolutely on point I can feel him on this song and it means the world to me. I still miss MJ so much and this song will live on I can’t wait to buy it.
People like Harry Peters should stay off these sites. You just sound stupid and uneducated and you don’t deserve to be commenting on Michael Jackson at all. I do not understand how some can miss the fact that he was the greatest entertainer who ever lived and also the greatest humanitarian.
