Earlier this evening, Rihanna announced via Twitter that she’ll release her first album since 2007’s Good Girl Gone Bad. The tweet reads: “The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09.” While reps would not confirm details of the album, one insider tells EW.com that Nov. 23 looks to be an accurate release date, but that the album will not be titled The Wait Is Ova.

I’m looking forward to Rihanna’s new album on November 23rd! No more milking the last album with reloaded and remixed song albums, like she’s done for 2 years. I’m ready to hear some new songs from her! Maybe she’s putting her release ahead of the highly anticipated Adam Lambert and Susan Boyle albums. I hope she continues her hit making streak of songs.

I don’t want one of those cheesy Mariah Carey “I’m made it through the darkness and now I’m stronger” empowerment songs, but if she just includes songs about partying and being super duper in love it’ll seem disingenuous. She doesn’t have to specifically reference being freakin’ beat up by her “boyfriend” but it would be appropriate for her to include songs that address the issues of turbulent relationships and abuse…she did that a bit in Good Girl Gone Bad (“Rehab,” etc.) so I see no reason why she wouldn’t do that with her new album.
I hope you were joking, as Russell Crow and Naomi Campbell’s phone throwing incidents had nothing to do with one another. Rihanna wasn’t left for dead at all. She was beaten and she called the police on Chris Brown.
And a new album with new tunes will be awesome.
Well, she was left clobbered and on the verge of unconsciousness. He obviously cared more about saving his own skin than if she was physically alright. Point is, he ditched her, leaving her seriously battered, and behaved like the common, vicious criminal (the majority of whom also have sob stories from their childhood) he is.
What does this mean for Adam Lambert – his CD drops Nov 24th and something tells me that he doesn’t stand a chance against Miss Victim.
