I love it, his voice is just too beautiful and it’s PERFECT for the movie. It gets better every time I listen to it, I can just feel the emotion in his voice. I can’t wait to see the Music video! But do u know when it’s available on iTunes here?? Do we really have to wait a whole week?

  • Jennifer

I voted disappointment but I’m a fan of Adam in the poll, but that’s not quite right. I think that Adam’s voice sounds amazing here. There’s no denying he’s a fabulous singer. But his voice alone can’t make me like this pile of cheese. The song is what it is– a sappy, overly-dramatic disaster movie track. I’m generally not a fan of those. Hopefully Adam’s album will have some tracks I can actually enjoy hearing him sing.

Considering it is the theme song for a cheesey disaster movie….what did you expect?

      • dave

Lisa, it’s not absolutely necessary to make that comment (or some variation of it) every time someone calls the song cheesy. Jennifer obviously knows it’s on the soundtrack of a cheesy disaster movie. She’s not a fan of cheese.

ok, i recognize adam’s talent, i truly do! I think MAYBE, it comes down to what your taste in music is. Im not a huge lady gaga fan and it seems adam is going down that route, electronica/pop/glam. Sorry, but im not THAT into that kind of music. I know for sure that live, it will be KILLER! So I’d definately see him live but I’ll have to wait to hear his songs in order to know if i like his music or not.

As far as this single is concerned, i totally agree with Slezak. Power ballad, i really love those kinds of songs. I mean, its a movie soundtrack so of course its gonne sound cheezy! Its a good vocal, good music and production. Do i think it will be a hit as big as “don’t wanna miss a thing”? i dnt think it will.

  • Bravo!!!!

Look it up on Youtube, there are still hundreds of links on it!!!

This song + this artist = match made in Heaven. I love this song and I will buy the soundtrack and/or single in order to show my support for the immaculate artistry known as Adam Lambert. I am excited to hear the purchased version opposed to the lower bandwidth version on YouTube.

  • DratCat

Wildy over-produced, and some of the vocals sound processed. Especially at the beginning, it could be any session singer. Towards the end, it’s recognizably Adam. The vibe really isn’t current. I’m disappointed.

  • Nina

I ADORE Adam and now I see why he emphatically said TFM does NOT in any way represent his debut album… Too much country twang and cheesy lyrics for the first 3 minutes. The EPIC soaring vocals after the bridge are brilliant, just that Adam’s voice is phenomenal enough, didn’t need to be that overproduced. All that being said, the last 1:44 is endlessly running through my head…in a very pleasant way.

Ignore Crispy, it runs from site to site slashing and bashing Adam, Crispy’s got a problem and we know what it is, don’t we.

    • crispy

Please do tell… what is my problem?

    • Kia

      Crispy is plain pathetic.

      • Matt

I don’t get what you are implying about Crispy here. It took this old country hick awhile, but after reading many of Crispy’s comments on different articles about Adam, I can honestly say he does like Adam Lambert. He just does not care for this song. Not everyone will be a fan of every song Adam sings, but for now I am. I have loved everything he has sung. I have a wife who adores Adam so I “learned” to like it. LOL No seriously I do. ;)

    • Jennifer

Maybe I’m missing something, but what has crispy said that’s so bad? You can still be a fan of Adam as a singer and a person and think that this song sucks. Being a fan does not equal blind devotion to whatever single Adam releases, whether it be from a soundtrack or his album. I love Adam, but I won’t be purchasing this song because it is over-produced, cliche, and cheesy. Basically, it’s not my taste. Adam’s vocals, which are great as always, don’t change that for me.

      • crispy

Ahh, thanks for sticking up for me! I really am a HUGE Adam Lambert fan… but like you said so well, that doesn’t mean I have to like everything he does. I don’t get why that’s so hard for some people to understand.

      • nic

Jennifer, you’ve said everything I want to say. And I have to thank you for that. I’m a Adam fan, and so I tried not to say anything about this song that can show my disappointment. I really love Adam and I blame myself for hating the song. But I just can’t love it! And sorry for my English, I’m Vietnamese.

      • Leigh

Nicely put Jennifer. It is possible to be an Adam fan and not be a fan of this song.

      • Lisa

Crispy is NOT an Adam fan. He spends his days seeking out articles about Adam so he can bash him.

      • crispy

You’re right. I only listen to his songs from American Idol because I am a masochist.

      • chris

I’m with Crispy and Jennifer. Love Adam, but hate this song. The song is over-produced cheese, and I’m not going to disregard that just because of his fantastic voice or because it’s on a cheesy disaster movie soundtrack. I am not a sheep.
Shutup Lisa. You spend your days seeking out people who make negative comments about Adam so you can bash. Hypocrite.

  • Lindajean139

He was by far my favorite on idol of any season and he still remains so. I always thought AI was a cheesy show and this guy is and always was light years beyond AI. I like him because he is so different. I love Rocky Road icecream, vanilla gets really boring after awhile.

    • Noop-Fan

he wasn’t lightyears beyond AI because obviously he used it as a stepping tool to get to where he’s at now. He had more experience than the other contestants on the show? yes, most definately. He needed AI to be where he’s at now…and im not saying thats a bad thing. Its a good thing because how else would the world have known who adam lambert was?

  • Tim

Well I am a Adam fan. this song just blows…nothing but overproduced cheese

  • Elaine

Thanks Slezak for a great review. Another brilliant performance from Adam.

  • Kia

Excellent review Micheal. I concur, this is an awesome disaster flick anthem of which Adam rips to shreds in a TERRIFIC and FANTASTIC fashion. He is an amazing vocals going places…despite what the haters may say.

Adam, babe, you are one awesome performer.

  • Christy

Totally loving it! Just can’t stop listening to it

  • Debbie

Adam’s voice is amazing as always, but I’m not a fan of the lyrics. But knowing the back story of the song, about the husband and wife writing the song, and the wife dying from cancer, makes it much less cheesy.

  • Cole

theres no doubt the guy can sing, but geez, this song is terrible, unoriginal, and incredibly cheesy….i hope hes given some better material to work with for his album, otherwise, we could be looking at david cook 2.0
