you are so incredibly naive. God forbid something like this happens to you, but until you experience it, keep your immature comments to yourself.

I hope with rhianna expressing her story people will stop putting their two sense in when they have no idea how it is to be abused by someone they love and trust. What people don’t know is that the abusers aren’t that way from the beginning and your already deep in love before their abuse and anger is revealed to you. By then your love is stronger then your strength to leave. These women stay in relationship for the men they fell in love with not for the monsters they turn into, hoping the monsters never return. Blinded in love from the truth, truth that they will never change. Thank you rhianna for leaving I know it wasn’t easy. Thank you for being stronger than most and dont let the ignorant people in this world tell you different. Chris Brown is a monster just like the rest of them.

I agree with alot of whats been posted on the blogs about both Rihanna and Chris. Me personally i’ve been in a domestic violence relationship at a very young age and left it behind a long time ago. But like Ari said no one blew it up when she was slappin Chris around but when the shoe is on the other foot everyone comes down on him like a hammer.Im not sayin thats it right for men to hit women but if provoked of course you are going to defend yourself and if you’ve been in an abusive relationship you start to feel like you have to take them out before they do it to you. Thats like sayin that if someone hits you that you wont defend yourself eventually if they kept hittin you.At the end of the day we are all only human and we all make mistakes. Let him live his life.
P.S. I do kinda feel like she wants to be with him cuz she would’ve never went back. Her A&R just told her to think what it would do to her album sales because her younger fans mothers wouldn’t buy her album because they would be outraged. I just think that everyone deserves a fair chance and if you decide to give your judgement on a case look at all the evidence and from all angles before you shut a person out or judge by gender cuz violence is wrong whether its from a male or female. It shouldn’t be a double standard. And I’m a woman and I can say that……………

This is the best comment I’ve read so far. What people fail to realize is that these are two young, probably inexperienced people who do not know how to handle their anger well. Obviously, all of this hostility started at home (upbringing). I agree that Chris Brown went too far when beating her the way he did, but I do not completely sympathize with Rhianna either. We are all responsible for our actions and I believe if it has to get to that point of physical abuse for the man or the woman, the relationship should end immediately. Instead of trying to figure out who is more wrong in this situation, what we should do is start loving and educating our children now and raising them to not be so angry and violent. A man should not hit a woman and a woman should not hit a man.

Rihanna, am so proud of you. Let us all face it: You and I have made our share of mistakes, Rihanna has surely made her own, but the best thing about all this is not that it happened, it’s that she has moved on, and more importantly she has set a good example to millions of women who are in abusive relationships.

I come from Kenya, and like everywhere in the world, we have our sisters who are being abused, by their husbands, their boyfriends among others…I love what she said, that ““When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that.”

Getting killed is a real thing to many people.

She is now free, but freedom is not doing what you want; It’s the knowledge that you have the power to do what is right.

Rihanna did the right thing, and that’s why am proud of her.

odd how she keeps interviewing about the assault. I was assaulted and I got on with my life. It was difficult but please think that your fame should be because of your music and not one of the stats of a domestic abuse problem. odd how all of these interviews are right before her new cd comes out. I am pretty tired of it.

I am so sick of Rhinna, she needs to go sit down somewhere and I agree with the comment about new album and interview so close. People are moving on and so should she all the truth is not being told SO RHINNA STAY OFF TV AND GET A LIFE

I’m not concerned about her album or her motive. The bottom line is that she was in an abusive relationship. Abuse is never ok. Whether is the male or female whose being abused. But, there is something to be said about the person who tolerates the abuse. They need counseling too. I hope that all parties involved get help, healing, and learn to love themselves. When you love yourself, you won’t tolerate crap from ANYONE.
