EPIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!!!!
LOVE.
Marilyn Manson theatrics + Christina Aguilera voice + insane dance hooks = I’m sold!
Look, Gaga’s music is fun but please don’t insult Christina Aguilera by claiming that Lady Gaga’s voice is anywhere near as good as hers.
Sorry, from the second i heard “Just Dance,’ way before she even finished her album), the Christina comparison jumped out at me. I’m not saying it is AS good, but they have very similar voices.
Sorry, Gaga’s voice is better than Xtina’s anyday. Check out any of her live performances.
Ugh, my reply is slated to Derek: Gaga has decent voice, but better than Christina’s? Next, you’re gonna tell me Rihanna wipes the floor with Beyonce.
Well Gaga is mezzo-soprano and Xtinas is a Soprano.
So they are alike
Stop using the word epic and amazeballs, etc.., following Perez Hilton’s slang isn’t cool!
amazeballs is the dumbest word. ugh. stop its use!
This video, like the one for Paparazzi, is so good that it elevates the song completely – now when I hear it on the radio I like it much more because the imagery is so memorable. Haven’t had many music videos in the last decade accomplish that.
Agree that Gaga looks gorgeous in stripped down scenes. I had read that she is a natural brunette but went blonde when her career took off because ppl confused her with Amy Winehouse. I didn’t buy it until seeing the shot of Gaga at 4:26 in the Bad Romance video. Dead ringer for Amy. Yikes.
Still, LOVE this video. Keep em comin Gaga
i agree, this elevates the song. fantastic.
So in other words, the song is mediocre.
Mediocre GENIUS maybe.
I’m not sold on the song, but the video is oddly brilliant. It like…fiercely beautiful trash.
This made me laugh. I’m the same; but I love the song too.
Love it! The ending is hilarious
OMG I have been obessed with this song for awhile now and LOVE the video.
I AM SOOOO OBSESSED MY SELF… I have the hook “Rah-Rah ah-ah-ah..” as my iPhone’s ringtone.
I am not always of fan of Lady Gaga’s music, but I gotta be honest here. At least she tries. She works hard to bring back an excitement and debate to music. Is it art? Is it cheap thrills? For me, that isn’t what matters. She gets people talking. Maybe not since early 90′s Madonna have people debated the worth while still anticipating the next release by an artist so much. For all the “insanity”, she brings back the visual/fashion/weird/rock&roll edge to pop music. Best music video I have seen in a long time. Too bad there aren’t any stations that play them anymore so people could see it.
I admire her work ethic, yes, but not really anything else. Why is it that being freakish and making people uncomfortable becomes something coveted and admired when done in an arts context? When the main goal of a performance is to offend, it seems merely immature to me. What is there in her songs or performances that is truly of lasting substance?
If it doesn’t spark and emotional response, then it isn’t art. Thanks for making the point that Gaga IS making art – even if you hate it, it’s valid.
The main goal of her performance is to entertain.
Madonna’s was to shock and offend.
But not hers.
Art is an expression thats free of philosophical and mental boundary.
I really like the video. The song, however, makes my ears bleed.
OK, look, I love this video, and I love GaGa as much as the next guy, but you’re all going a bit too far with this whole “redefining beauty” thing. There’s only so much a thin blonde white girl can do to challenge norms of beauty in this society. I mean, really. And anyway, she’s gorgeous. What’s to challenge?
This video actually made me like the song more. And comparing her to B Spears is just lame- Gaga sings lives, dances and can put together sentences that makes sense
haha You can keep Lady Gagag. I would much rather listen/look at Britney anyday. Her songs are actually listenable.
britney? listenable? that’s one thing she has never really been. unless you like autotuned robots. hot maybe a few years ago, but listenable, not quite.
OK, I believe that’s the first time since Britney came on the scene I’ve ever heard *anyone* call Britney ‘listenable’. Since she can’t sing a note live anymore, I’m not sure where the comparison lies.
Is that what you call dancing? All Lady Gaga is doing is swiveling her hips and making claw hands. Haha…Britney for the win…ANYDAY!
I can’t believe she actually walks in those 12″ McQueen heels!

Loved GaGa for years, love the song, but I wholeheartedly agree the video (and as with Paprazzi)did breathe fresh life into the music video genre. Even hours after the video delay broke on Twitter last night, Bad Romance was STILL a trending topic. I haven’t seen people wait in such anticipation for the premiere of a vid since MJ and Madonna – so that IS saying a lot about GaGa as an artist. Finally, these kids can see artistry that is missing in the biZ today – it’s more than what u are wearing or who u sleep with, it’s actually about talent and creativity. I for one have been a GaGa fan from the beginning (05-07 at NYC clubs) and I’m happy to see her finally get the respect she deserves. A strong artist can write, sing live, dance, and plays instruments: Britney, Christina, Whitney, and Madonna can’t even play instruments! Accepted to Jillard and can play piano by ear at age 4 – there is hardly a female artist out today that can compete with that level of talent. The fact GaGa also makes videos that people want to see is just an added bonus IMO
Britney is L-A-M-E compared to Gaga. Gaga is phenomenal.
Britney > your life
Jenna-
2001-2004 Britney? I would agree. Circus era Britney? No way. She doesn’t even dance like she used to. It seems like she lost confidence in her performing during the Blackout period.
