Why are people getting up in arms over Miley being compared to JT in terms of music. Vocally speaking JT is an embarrassment, Jt is a very good producer when it comes to POP/R&B but that’s it. In fact one can even go as far as say that Miley can sing circles around JT. people(the media) hate Miley for being too famous/big at such a young, yet b/c the entertainment media is mostly driven by females JT is highly regarded b/c he is considered “hot”. As much as this may hurt Justin’s female fans, Miley as well as Britney have left a bigger mark on the music industry than Justin ever has or ever will. Timbaland is a cocky bastard who can shove it, Shock value was nothing more than generic piece of crap with the acception of Apologize, but that’s b/c of Ryan tedder not timbland. that being said all of the ARTIST i’ve mention should take a break from msic and come in 2 years with something good, instead of the crap. Except miley she always put out crap so she should head in another direction
You are obviously biased against pop or r&b. you polly are one of those fools who named Phish the top guilty pleasure. I hate it when white-boy “rawkers” dis any kind of music popular with a large minority populace.
Miley…is th next Lindsay. Take that however you want.
miley is not britney, lindsay shes miley duh. jt is a no talent hack.
last song isnt gonna suck you stupid ignorant morons.
who has a top 10 song now on billboard? not jt.miley.OH YEAH YOU ARE ALL JUST JEALIOUS.
so do 9 other artists. and JT doesn’t have any singles out now. what’s your point?
And you my dear must be a 12 year-old girl. So let me school you, darling. JT does not have an album out right now if he did he would be a#1 hit. Your last statement proves that you either are young or don’t have a fully-formed brain! Either way, cleary you are at a disadvantage.
If I may join in on this discussion (I’m a 20-year-old male by the way), I sense Miley is on track to be a performer on par with the likes of Justin and Britney, since she is showing so much continued success and improvement at such a young age. However, comparisons between these entertainers need not necessarily be made.
miley rox miley rulz the world justin is getting a bit old hes ok
My biggest gripe with Miley Cyrus! She releases her biggets single ever…singing “And a Jay-Z Song was on…” and then claims she doens’t even HAVE a favortie Jay-Z song cause she doesn’t listen to that music!? I mean, I know clearly, people have songs written for them all the time, but for her to blatantly admit, she doesn’t even listen to Jay-Z after singing about him…its just tacky. I’m sure some would admire her honesty…but seriously, LAME.
And one other reason why she’s not NEARLY as talented as JT. She has sold millions of albums both as herself & Hannah Montana off the strength of her young fans…but she hasn’t had one album with more than one radio hit yet. Until she creates an album with more than 1 actual hit, she is still Up & Coming…not a superstar, no matter how many records she sells.
Oh, and lastly, poor Timbo. He waited to anxiously release this album, and then up to the week before this “Morning After Dark” was set to be the 1st single…it SUCKED. Nelly Furtado got added in, which would usually be considered a remix these days, just days before the song was released. He had so much faith in his new artist SoShy, but the song with just her really lacked. Why am I saying all this!? because even with the addition of Nelly…the song still kinda LACKS. Its not going to properly launch this star studded album, esp. after it was originally due out the week of Thanksgiving, then bumped again to Dec. 8th. And with the packed release schedule…well, lets just say, if radio doesn’t pick up on “Morning After Dark”…the album might get bumped…again…
Who woulda think that the curly haired guy from a cookie-cutter (white)boy band could develop into a first-rate star respected by many hip-hop/r&b artists, either?
Weird…looks like Timbaland’s working with Steven Tyler, too:
“On 26 March 2010, it was reported that Steven Tyler, intrigued by the 2009 Chris Cornell record Scream, would be teaming up with Timbaland to record a rap album. Guest appearances by Reverend Run and Daryl Mac of Run DMC, Kid Rock, and T-Pain are rumored to be featured on the new project.”
