I Need To Know is absolutely my favorite track on the album. Love love LOVE IT. I mean, I love all the other tracks too (even Heartless is starting to grow on me, although I agree I would much rather prefer the acoustic live version he performed on AI), but I Need To Know is too good to not be my favorite!

noce insights. Have you heard the other bonus tracks Slezak? BTW- Kris did tell Lyndsey about lying on his back for the I Need To Know track.
I am REALLY enjoying this album.

I love that I Need to Know was playing in my iPod as I read through this. Raising my hand on that whole ‘listened to it 20 times’ thing.

  • Janivilla

Perfect review for a perfect album. ;) And I’ll come clean, too – I’m also an “I Need To Know” junkie. It feels good to get this off my chest.

Your top two are my top two favorites too. I knew you had good taste!

Good songwriting on this album. Red Guitar is the best one, in my opinion. Look forward to seeing what Kris can do when he’s permitted free rein on songwriting and arrangements. Excellent record, for an Idol alum.

This Album is so amazing! I can’t stop listening to it at all! I am so proud of Kris and what he accomplished on this Album! He is so talented!

Great review – I love, love, love this album. It’s awesome. I’m a little sad “Fallen From the Ashes” (the iTunes bonus track) didn’t replace “Lifetime” – it’s gorgeous, and no Kris Allen fan should miss out on it. Thanks, Slezak, for the great reporting!

The bonus track of ‘Send Me All Your Angels’ that was co-written by Kris and Chris Daughtry is great! I’m surprised it didn’t make the cut. It’s now one of my faves for sure.

I love the album and appreciate your thoughts on it, Michael. The word that comes to me for “I Need to Know” is holy.

One Word incredibbbbbllleeee..SO PROUD OF kris..On heartless..I prefer the Old Kris acoustic version too & I am so thankful that I bought from iTunes, then, right after the shaw.

  • liz

    love the album

Great review Slezak! I’ve not been a big fan of Idol, or really bothered buying an Album made by an American Idol winner, but I made an exception when it came to Kris. Something about his voice makes everything sound so genuine…and that to me was new. I’ve had this Album on repeat for a good half day! Good job to Kris, and I’m happy with the end product!

I think is a BLOATED review, and wayyyyyy too much. All y’all can call me a HATER all y’all want, but seriously this much space devoted to one cd is EXTREMELY biased considering some of the two sentence reviews EW has given most new releases lately. Slezak I used to look forward to your PopWatch posts, but you have officially become a full fledged Idol-Idiot. I feel for the poor friends & family that havre to spend Thanskgiving & X-Mas with you while you no doubt prattle on about Kris, Adam, & Allison and whomever else. You have officially sold out, much likt the rest of the EW magazine & website.
Oh and after reading your ENTIRE lengthy post, I have one question for you….YOU DO REALIZE ADAM IS THE GAY ONE AND KRIS IS MARRIED…RIGHT? LOL

      • Dave

What side of the bed did you wake up on? You could have stopped reading and walked away if Michael’s writing bothers you so much.

      • JR

I think this a BLOATED comment and wayyyyyy too much.

      • joe

No one forced you to read this review you idiotic moronic asinine fool! People like you do nothing but get on other’s nerves! please go away forever!

      • Phil

SIGH, you’re all LUNATICS. I expected as much. But what you all criticizing what i said fail to realize WHAT I ACTUALLY said. You’re ALL Kris superfans, so I get your hatred towards my post, but the point of it is that Michael Slezak ONCE wrote witty, informative Popwatch items on ALL things pop culture…NOW he craps out bloated Idol blod entries every so often. I used to look forward to reading his humorous & insightful posts, but now all he does is worth at the atlar of Idol. Thats fine for you folks that also worship at that altar…but for the rest of us in a world where are Tuesday and Wednesday nights are free January through May..I’m perfectly in the right to tell Michael he’s forgotten about the fans who once came here to listen to him speak about Pop Culture and not just Idol-Insanity.
And michael, I’m calling you out one last time. Because of this extremely MASSIVE analysis of Kris’ cd, you do realize the Adam fans will cry MURDER next week if you now don’t do the same for his disc. You opened up pandora’s box buddy, GOOD LUCK!

      • Rudemuch

Nobody is forcing you to read this, and everyone can express their love for certain things or people. Who are you to judge Slezak on that? This is just ridiculous.

      • Remus

To Phil… you do realize Michael Slezak can multi-task? He does write many different articles for EW.com. This particular article is not part of the regular Popwatch blog. You should feel free to skip it if the subject matter turns you off. After all, it’s not like you get extra credit for reading it.
