This girl has balls and Tik Tok is a fun, catchy song. Lighten up here people. It’s only music. If you don’t like it, turn on something else!!! Love her!!
Instant, recyled garbage. This is absolutely ridiculous. Really?????
There’s no way you can ever compare this girl to Gaga. Anyone who does is a complete moron. End of story. Talentless!
she got nothin on lady gaga
Well, this Ke$ha is more intelligent, in that she doesn’t scream and annoint herself a gay icon right off the bat…or the next bad Salvador Dali, or raps in a Madonna fashion about a child that was murdered…..(you are exploiting that girl again, honey).
Ke$ha has a sense of humour that Lady Gaga lacks completely. She is the wacky fun girl I would much rather speak to than the pretentious Lady Gaga and her widdle buddy Mr Hilton that she rang in the New Year with……
This girl is winking at you by putting the dollar sign in her name.
She has humanity (and it is wacky and fun, which is escapism at its finest) and she is certainly more a contender to do well this year than you realize…….
I love Tik Tok! This interview shows she’s more than just party, party all the time. I think I’m gonna like Ke$ha a lot more
okay personally I found this interview quite interesting… lol. but I do think she doesn’t have much talent. If I ever hear her sing live, it will probably be horrendous… her vocals on the tracks are so computerized its not even funny. That being said, I actually love Tik Tok and I will probably gether album just because they sounds like really fun dance songs and I like that stuff… On a side note, what is up with her album cover… She looks awful and it’s just weird… COuld be so much better
It seems everyone wants to give their opinion on her voice, style, or her talent in general, but nobody seems to analyze why she has the success she does. People just lash out by saying something like “I don’t understand why a no talent hack…” etc. I’ve heard her album and I can tell you Tik Tok will not be the last you hear from her.
Whether you think she is trendy, cliche, or really annoying, her music is fun to listen to. The beats are very dance centric and accessible, with a combination of whimsical lyrics and great hooks. THAT is a combination that will sell records every time.
Should I compare her release to something from Paramore, Metric or Depeche Mode (some of my other favorite bands) which seem to have a much more complex sound? No. They’re not trying to accomplish the same things.
For me, “Ke$ha” seems real. She parties, doesn’t care what anyone thinks and has fun. Even when she says stuff like “po po shut us down” it’s clear this is something she would probably say to a friend, joking or otherwise. Go to her MySpace page watch a video where she just talks. Her appeal is that she’s not afraid to put herself out there, she is confident and her interaction is sincere. It’s this sincerity that fuels her charisma. This same “sincerity” is what most pop artists really lack. You get the feeling most artists go to great lengths to present a certain image where Kesha just skips that part.
Again, don’t compare her to your favorite artist. Kesha wants to make a dance album about men, parties, booze and having fun. She has done this and done it well.
She looks cleaned up on the cover, which is what everyone gets all upset about regarding this performer. I’ll give her that again..smart move..not a goofy cover, but a weird cover.
Honestly, she is just a nice silly escape for 2010. I like this ambitious bumpkin vibe so much more than the self absorbed “I am the artist of the century” chick of 2009. I LOVE that she met Paris Hilton on a reality show!!!!
Honestly, Madonna started out more like Ke$ha than gaga. She had to work, her family could not help her and she was pretty modest (as Madonna can be!) and “grungey” looking in her early years…..not wearing Dior, but furry armpits. The music is goofy, but so is the girl. I am sure she would agree to both and wouldn’t drive you insane telling you it really relates to the Louvre.
Go get ‘em Ke$ha, ya got a fan.
Haha she threw up in paris hiltons closet someone finally got that paris. What a brat.
Haha she threw up in paris hiltons closet someone finally got that paris. What a brat. A ugly one . But I love Tik Tok
I’ve read close to all these comments and Ke$ha is a love it or hate it cause. She appeals to a large group of fans that are younger because they can relate to what she writes. I am, in fact, a part of the younger fan base, but I discovered her over a year and a half ago. She still had great songs then and she has co-written all of them. I think that’s talent, but others obviously don’t, which is fine. Honestly guys, every pop star that emerges in 2010 will be compared to pop stars today (LADY GAGA) or stars from the past (MADONNA). That’s just how it is. This will forever be an endless topic of discussion.
BOTTOM LINE: Ke$ha makes great music & is her own person. I love Lady Gaga as well and her fashion does speak for her personality, but I don’t get a look into her life. I do with Ke$ha & that’s why I stand by her.
I luv ke$ha she totally rokz. Never hated her luv her music. Im such a big fan luv ya 4ever ke$ha(:
