I like that Jay-Z and Alicia Keys song was the best of the top 10. But I am pleased that Entertainment Weekly selected Keri Hilson’s Knock You Down as one of the year’s best singles! I have defended Keri’s album ever since it was released because all the songs are good as well creative and chance taking. I didn’t think that Knock would be a single when I first heard the album, but it really took off on pop radio. Her singing with Ne-Yo is solid and Kanye West’s raps are bold and no nonsense. Miley Cyrus’ song is so funky with the basslines as well as fun.
Love Lady Gaga! Good choice on Paparazzi…I think it sounds so different from other pop songs. It is haunting and reminds me of so many of my friends’ failed relationships. Women who follow men like puppies, taking whatever bs they dish out because they are so in love. I love how her songs are like little movies, all with their own vibe and plot.
Wow….where the hell is “Heads Will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs? The whole “It’s Blitz!” album is fantastic and that song is no exception. Or how about one of La Roux’s awesome singles, like say, “Bulletproof”? This list is all kinds of FAIL.

Lady Gaga is probably the most overrated performer of the last ten years. I’ll be glad when she’s done with her 15 minutes of fame and fades away.
“Miley Cyrus makes me CRINGE like no other. I feel like people should just stop encouraging her and then maybe she’ll go away.”
So, so right on.
the paparazzi video was so freaking weird, yet nice melody.
my favorite was 21 guns. it gave me inspirated

Thanks for the addendum, but Kelly Clarkson needed to be on this list! I know EW LOVED I Do Not Hook Up all year, where is the love now?
