    Also his music was insanely catchy and he brought a great punk rock attitude to the stuffy indie rock elite. His music brought me joy. That’s what he did for me.

    This is quite shocking. I really enjoyed his music.
    The strange thing is just like Brittany Murphy, he had been complaining of flu-like symptoms, over the last few days, then he dies suddenly.

    I inadvertently saw him live in November when he opened for The Pixies in Chicago. I can definitely say I was not a fan of his music, but it’s sad to hear that anyone this young passed away. RIP, Jay.
