The initial round of female artists slated to join the relaunched Lilith Fair for Summer Oh-Ten was impressive enough — Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert, Janelle Monae, Mary J. Blige, Emmylou Harris, and lots more comprised an eclectic group exciting enough to guarantee my attendance. A second round of names came out today, lending some serious emotional heft and historical weight to the sisterhood: Cat Power, the Gossip, Norah Jones, Beth Orton, and the double lemme-show-you-children-how-it’s-done whammy of Loretta Lynn and Heart. This is already something I am willing to go crazy on, Mixers — and they say there are more “major” artists yet to be announced! (Might those include names like Swift, Clarkson, or Pink?)

Seriously, there’s going to be another LF? As much as I like Taylor Swift, I don’t want her there because she might attract the wrong class of fans – especially the vapid ones who don’t know there’s a wider variety of musical styles & tastes.
This is amazing. I was already planning on going, but I was actually thinking to myself, “gosh, I wish they would add Gossip, and Missy Higgins. I love them.” And looky here, they did just that. Plus, Heart, and Norah Jones. This is amazing!

I may be a guy but Lilith Fair was one of my favorite concert experiences in the 90s. I really enjoyed the female vibe. Hopefully they will stop in Wisconsin. The 2010 lineup is really good. Other considerations: Garbage, Sade, M.I.A., Santogold, Karen O, She & Him, Duffy,Tori Amos, Amanda Palmer…

I Was So Excited To See They Are Adding More Artist And Am So Glad Pink Was Mentioned In This Article Because When I Read LF Was Returning This Year She Was The First Person I Thought Of For Them To Add. She Would Bring Such A Great Energy To The Fair! And Shes Amazing Live! Shes PErfect For It! I Hope if They Invite HEr She WAnts To And Is Able To Go!
