I love Prince and football, but this is awful…There is no excuse for subjecting the public to this nonsense….20-30 years of creating great music can only take you so far….

I bet you a million dollars if they win “Purple Rain” will be played somewhere by the vikings org maybe he will be the halftime show?….maybe this was a deal to get that done?

Long live the PURPLE and gold? I think he’s singing about himself again.

While the song is terrible, it is my opinion that Prince was trying to do something good hearted and positive. Support his local team. It’s not like he hurt anybody. Jeez.

    Yuck!!!

This is not Prince’s new song. This is a traditional sport team’s anthem composed by Prince. Prince composes all different kinds of music besides pop. Educate yourselves about musical forms and then you’ll know how to gauge your expectations when you listen to a piece of music. Geez.

Hey Whitney, although I am a Minnesotan, but I’m not really a Vikings fan. I am also not a fan of your failure to correct your blatant lie concerning Mr. Gokey and his supposed “failed” first single in your article on him back on the 13th. (And in reference to the article’s title: yes, we are “buying” it.)
So have you just not read the correct information that was provided for you by your readers or are you just a lying “journalist” with an agenda?

Well, Brother Prince, never forget the difference between fans and friends. Stay with ‘the friends.’ Your creative juices will flow again. (Remember, your problems are ‘HIS’ problems.)

Friendly advice, try to seperate Jesus coming with his myriads of angels from football. Love ya lots. Sis

In true Viking music this slow pace was meant for death to come to the enemy. Prince studied that and wrote what you hear.In football and War you have to inspire from a snails pace into the kill, that’s what the song builds, unfortunatly the Saints got the true message.

    this is really rediculas

Prince is following the religious footsteps of Michael Jackson.
He is just getting more and more bizzar by the day.
