Just listened to that song again, and it sounds just as great as the first time we heard it in 1985. The way they put that thing together (with all that talent) was a truly work of art, and it’s great to see that it’s being given new life for another worthy cause. I think today’s artists will do a fine job with it, and the 2010 version will become one of the biggest selling songs of the new year. With digital downloads, it will be great to see our kids buying it instantaneously whenever it’s released. Can’t wait to play it on the radio again. You wait and see; somehow they’ll work MJ into it, too. He deserves to be there.

If MJ’s voice is not going to be in it then I for one will not watch it or buy it. If his intent is to have all new artists then Lionel Ritchie should not be in it either. Modern Technology would him to include Michaels voice and since MJ co-wrote this song he should be in it along with Lionel. Disgusted with the whole thing – charity or not. These are supposed to MJ’s friends? They should be the ones to tell Quincy they won’t do it unles Mike’s voice is included and not Janet in his place. NO ONE can ever replace Michael!!!!!!

@patti I so agree with you it would not be the same without mj we should always remember his time and wyclef just totaly messed up
without MJ it wont be the same. why to remake the song??? why the did not make a new song? they are not goo writers as my MJ was. He always will be the ONE AND ONLY!
